So, I'm really starting to enjoy Rocco Mediate's on course commentary for TGC.

First, there was the ball hunting expedition in the M-B.

Then, in the Sony, there was the free use of the word "crap."

Exhibit A (paraphrased):

RM: Nick and Kelly, he has a really crappy lie.

NF: Is that a strain of Bermuda grass?

Exhibit B (also paraphrased):

RM: Guys, the wind just knocked the crap out of that ball.

NF: You mean that the wind deviated the golf ball there Rocco?

RM: Umm, yes, it deviated it off of its intended path.

Rocco is pretty good and brings a nice human element to the game.

I really like Faldo being a number 1 guy, I really enjoy him during golf broadcasts.

Rocco is an awesome on course guy.

Did he retire? Or why isn't he playing anymore? Not sure I have heard why?

Good question, I don't know what Rocco's playing plans are.

I like Rocco too. CBS needs him in there with Feherty! They might be a good combo.

That's a really good idea.

Sounds like Nick was fairly quick off the mark with those comebacks

I do think Rocco does a good job. But I didn't like the word crap that kept coming out of his mouth. It was a bit unprofessional, but he'll get it down. He's got a good personality for that job.

Crap doesn't bother me because he talking naturally. Plus that's how golfers talk. He doesn't wax poetically.

Bottom line, Ralph Wiggum and Jim White are the wisest sages I know.

I love listening to Rocco. I think he has a great grasp on what to say - especially crap. I love it that Faldo isn't wearing a tie and that Rocco says crap. I

It would start to bother me if it became a "thing" instead of just seeming like a guy who occasionally forgets that he's on TV. But I think you are right that he will get the hang of it and "crap" will leave his vocabulary. Hopefully, something else humorous will take its place.

He does wax his legs tho. Ask anyone who met him at the Sony. smile.gif
