Well....I was kinda hoping that TGC would show some golf. Instead they are showing palm trees, surfers, overviews with the wind arrows, Michelle Wie (why?), promos, and on and on and on. 22 promos per hour (at least), and famous words from ESPN that I hoped TGC wouldn't use..."just a moment ago" or "while we were away". You get the picture. I want to see golf. I want to see people hit the ball. I've now gone to watching reruns and flipping back to see a leaderboard stuck across the screen with palm trees blowing in the background. Oh well, what can we do? crazy.gif

Actually, I give TGC big props for it's coverage today. If this was on USA or ESPN it would have been Michelle Wie and only Michelle Wie. There were actually moments tonight when I forgot she was playing! We didn't see EVERY shot she hit (thankfully), and while they did cover her more than she deserved they didn't make it the Michelle Wie show like it had been the last few years. I think TGC coverage for Thursday/Friday is head and shoulders above USA and ESPN. As for the weekends right now I would prefer it on the networks.

IMO, they still have a ways to go.

Has anyone else heard the whispering while other people were talking?!? I noticed it on all 3 days that I watched. I also think Faldo is trying to hard to be Faldo now if that makes sense. Kelly has also said the wrong name to the player being shown, etc.

I like the majority of the people though - I really like Rocco Mediate's personality and I think as he gets more used to doing it, he will be good. Dottie Pepper is good like usual. The only person I'm not too fond of is Rich Lerner for some reason.

But it is really early in the whole Golf Channel/PGA thing, so I'm sure the bugs will be tweaked and it will end up being good...but what do I know - I like Johnny Miller!
