Dave Hicks makes some very nice putters. I've heard him compared to as the "scotty Cameron of the UK". Find his beautiful putters here:

http://www.davehicksgolf.com/putters.php?id=15

I have the ixi-centre in my bag. They are priced in the $200.00 range.

Sounds good, thanks for the addition!

I just purchased a putter from these guys:

http://www.redbirdsports.com/html/products/putters.html

The one I bought is the milled AH 4 330. It prices at around $200.00

*EDIT* I was just thinking, do you want just putter makers who do custom unique designs, or do these guys count for your list?
villa
Hey mate,

Found out the guys name who designs these putters. It's Neil Webb (hence Webb putters).

I know it probably won't be ideal for guys in the U.S due to the GBP-Dollar exchange rate at the moment but there's more and more guys from the U.K on this site now.

Thanks for that info, Villa ... I inserted the info in the first post.

Thanks mate.

I'm going to put in an order for a Webb very soon so i'll update you as and when.

BTW, have you got any more info on Kevin Burns? I own a ridiculous number of putters but the 9304 hasn't left my side since I bought it. If I could get a custom one from him I think i'd cry.

I spoke to him 2 days ago: he said he "definitely" will have a new putter line and updated website launching at the end of April / beginning of May. Plus he'll provide in-house fitting at his studio in San Jose, California, which will be a real plus for folks like me who live in that area.

Can't tell you how Jealous I am mate. Think I might take a holiday there just to get a putter fitted!

KB's been around for years and despite some big successes they don't seem to have the following of some of the other names. Hopefully this sees them make a 'step up'.

Do you know anything of the rumour that he'll be making putters for Bridgestone? It could be simply because he's done some Tourstage stuff before and Appleby's back using the 9304 again but it'd be interesting to see.

Definitely come to the San Francisco/Bay Area for a holiday...we'll even get in a round of golf together!

Kevin is no longer affiliated with Bridgestone/Tourstage ... he's now independent.

I'll wait and see what he's offering but all being well, we'll have to sort something out.

Think I might hold off on ordering that Webb until I see KB's new site!

I added it up there in the first post. Just curious, is one able to ask for a head style not shown in the website's pictures?
ubergoober
Don't know. I may have to call them. I've wanted one of the Sonia's for years. I'm surprised that more people don't know about them. The old golfclubreview.com site that went down a few years ago raved about the Musty.

Everybody thinks that they can design a putter. Thanks for the links, I didnt know about some of these guys.

I will start making out my x-mas list now for my wife. good.gif

Everyone is talking about all these custom putter makers and what not, everyone is saying Scotty Cameron...
What about the greatest putter designer of modern golf?
RJB!
Robert J. Bettinardi!
Created the Dreamweaver putter that sold for 12,000 making it the most expensive modern day bought putter.
Bettinardi has paved the way for putter designers

Bettinardi even milled Cameron putters for 10 years when scotty first started out until he went solo
steverum
I dont like the honeycomb face, but i guess you have to do something different to stand out.

I have never found a Bettinardi that felt right, they look good, but feel is most of putting.

That is why every hacker plays and Odyssey White Hot, to make their Top Rock feel like butter.

I'm sorry, but Redbird really should be on this list, as the majority of these "custom" putter designs are mearly remakes of old versions, or at the very least modifications of them. Add to you list:

I got one of these over the winter months and my putting so far this year is changed extremely dramatically. I heard about em from my brother, which he got one while at SDGA.
