Just curious. I've never been able to play comfortably with my watch on. Mainly because I don't like a tight fitting watch, so its lose and can move. Also stems from being taught that watches aren't built to withstand shocks constantly. However I've just received my new trion:z as a replacement for a broken one and can finally wear it. I'm finding it comfy and not having trouble swinging with it. Do you wear a watch when playing, or am I just odd?

I can't wear my watch when I play. The only thing on my wrists when I play is my Trion:z bracelets.

I have a watch that I don't wear to much to begin with. But I don't wear it when I'm playing, I can't stand having it on my wrist because I tried once or twice, its probably because I don't wear it that much to begin with. But no I don't wear a watch when golfing.

Nope, don't like the feel at all. I don't wear a glove either.
Question for you Trion-Z guys. Do they actually give you any performance benefit? I have a chronic shoulder issue that any help would be nice.

Tag Heuer Kirium Chronograph always on the left wrist
I don't wear one as it restricts my wrist cock on the backswing. Might be a probelm all lefties face or is it just me?

I usually wear it during warm up and on the putting green then take it off and put it in the bag at the first tee.

I never wear a watch because I have like the skinniest wrist on earth and it's to much trouble getting one to fit me.
No Watch to Big
But i wear 2 things
A Yellow LiveStrong and
A Black Ping "Play Your Best"
Both Cheap bracklets but I like them
I voted yes.
My usual watch is an automatic self-winding model. It's nothing fancy, but when I play golf I wear a cheap digital Timex. I hardly ever look at it while on the course, but it doesn't bother me and sometimes I like to know how fast or slow my round is going.

I feel naked without a watch, but can only play with a light watch on my wrist. Most of my watches are too bulky and heavy for golf, so usually wear either Omega Speedmaster or Tissot PR 50, neither restrict my swing or are at all obtrusive when playing. A watch is useful for timing my partners search for lost balls ! LOL

I love watches, but won't wear one while playing. Nothing to do with my performance, but I refuse to watch the clock while I am playing... I am out there to enjoy myself and get away for a couple of hours... same reason I don't wear my cell phone while playing.

I will not wear anything on my wrists whilst playing golf. It doesn't feel 'right' to me and it distracts me when I'm concentrating on my grip/setup etc.

When I used to wear a watch (now I just use my cell phone to check the time) I always had to take it off when playing. I think it was a superstition thing more than anything else. I remember one round I started off horribly on the first 3 holes, noticed my watch was on, took it off and started hitting the ball much better. Completely mental.
I now wear a yellow Livestrong bracelet and a black Trion:Z on my left wrist.

I'm the same way, love watches, but can't stand having it on when playing. Whats the point of wearing one when your playing? I think it's more of a distraction than anything...
Question to you guys that wear one, what does it do for you when you wear your watches?? Just curious:)

I never take off my watch. Which watch I wear depends on which club I'm playing. Regular Seikos for regular places and my Bvlgari for the clubs. Makes it look like I have money when all I really have is $9.75 bumping around my pocket

I wear my watch 24/7, as well as my livestrong. Interesting to note that Phil Mickelson wears a watch when he plays golf. He started wearing a watch when he was playing in junior golf tournaments. He said that if he watched other kids swings it would mess up his rhythm. So while they were swinging he would look at his watch. I don't think he looks at his watch anymore, but he still wears his watch.

Same here.
I wear my watch loose, so if I have it on when I'm playin it'll slide around.
So it goes in the valuables pocket along with the keys, phone, and what ever else I put in there

I cannot wear a watch while golfing. Far too distracting to me.
My golf buddy (wrx member MPH) gave me a unique little device that tells time and also monitors UV ratings from the sun. It's a great gadget that clips onto a golf bag.
In fact, a user can enter skin type and hair color and the SPF of the the sunscreen you're wearing to form an equation that determines a safe amount of time to spend in the sun, or the optimum time to reapply sunscreen. It even has an alarm to let you know when the outdoor UV levels are changing (i.e. - going from cloudy to sunnier conditions) or when you're likely to start burning.
I simply enter my skin type (fair skin, freckles) and hair color (red) and the SPF of the sunscreen (15). I then enter the approximate time I will spend outdoors (four hours for a round of golf on a muni course). After the gadget does some initial calculations, it begins to emit a loud "beep" about every 3 minutes, letting me know that I'm a complete and utter idiot for even being in the sun and that I'm burning to a crisp.

I've learned to ignore it, but my playing partners find it distracting during their backswing. teehee.
