Anybody has tried this new bag? I saw one at local golf store, but did not really like the look of the materials, even though it is awesome in terms of number of pockets, the 14-way divider etc compared to my 2006 Xtreme Sport bag. And on nikegolf.com, they said it's only 5.5 lbs!!

And while we're at it, does anybody know the difference (other than $10 MSRP) between the Sasquatch Tour and the Pro Tour Combo? On the Nike site, they have the exact same specs.

And, does it come without "Sasquatch" on it?

Uh, I did some checking, and you guys are right... I "believe" the Pro Combo Tour bag is really the same as the new Tour 2007 bag (with "Sasquatch" written on it). Take a look (I took these pics from bhmgolf.com, you can check out the specs there too). They just have different color coordinates - which are nice too..

Here, you might prefer looking at a real picutre instead of the product shots as I've found that the real product looks significantly different. Although I've also found the navy is the closest to the product shot amongst the Tour Combo bags....

A few impressions as I have yet to actually use it (I've only walked around the house with it since I got it yesterday). It is more heavier than my Hoofer Vantage that I sold. It's more cart bag then stand bag. The "quick ball retrieve" portion is good in concept but poor in execution. The 14 way divider is NICE! Although I love my Hoofer Vantage and was sad to depart with it, this bag definitely fits more of my needs in a bag.

Thanks very much for the pics... the bag and the clubs look GREAT ! Very coordinated and neat looking. Great set! Let me know how the bag feels and performs once you have a chance to carry it out... yes, I agree, it is more of a Cart Bag, but it is hybrid like anyway because you can still stand it up (with the legs) like a stand bag... kewlpics.gif

Not much differences...might just be the name and color combo's.

I'm guessing that, in part, Nike's site is incorrect. As a practical matter, why would they put out 2 identical bags and just name them differently? Moreover, when you click the "view club dividers" for either bag, you get a diagram of an 8-way divider, which of course, neither bag has.

Although, I still can't see a difference from the promo photos of the SQ and icec0ld's "real life" photo of the Pro Combo.

I called Nike and the bags are identical. The SQ one just has the SQ logos on it. I'm looking for confirmation on the 5.5 pounds.

I'd be curious to know about the weight. Didn't seem to be much difference between the PCT and Grom. Just picked up the same one icec0ld has and it's pretty damn sweet so far. Love the 14-way divider on the bag and love all of the pockets, which my Grom didn't have. The colors are pretty far off because everything that looks white in the pics is really silver. The black PCT with the orange trim is actually a nice looking bag. Talked to the guy at the golf store today to see if they had any in stock. He said they had the bag but only the black Sasquatch version and the black PCT with orange trim. Didn't like that from the photos, but in person it wasn't bad at all. Managed to find the navy one though and jumped on it. I think that back access thing looks a little crappy in terms of trying to get the ball out. One thing I have seen since my old Sun Mountain is a nice velcro strap for the umbrella instead of the crappy string with the plastic cinch...

Anyone know why Nike would do that? I can't think of any real marketing advantage.

I just got the Nike 2007 SQ Tour Bag a few weeks ago, to replace my Hoofer 3. I was a little concerned about the weight, but it is not an issue at all. It definitely feels heavier when you pick it up, both with and without clubs. I think the plastic handle which does not 'give' at all has something to with that. The straps are very good and supportive, and walking 18 doesn't seem to be any more of an effort than in the past. I love the club management, although not sure 14 individual club wells are necessary. It has a great deep cooler pocket...perfect for hot days, especially if you plan to ride and a great easy retrieve sleeve that holds 3 balls...so if you hit one in the woods, you can grab one without digging for it. As for your concern about the materials, I see no issue there....bag is sturdy and will stand upright on its own pretty well. The only knock, compared to the hoofer, is I wish the large apparel pocket was bigger. The Hoofer seemed to be better than any other bag out there (for years) in that department. The bag gets a little strained if you need to stuff it on a cold day. Other than that, I love it!
