I recently played Dorado Beach golf club, just outside San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is a really nice track, and I basically had the course to myself, because the hotel was closed (I heard they are turning it into a timeshare). The greens fees are high, but after 1pm they drop by more than half.
The course sits hard by the Atlantic Ocean and features a par five signature hole that has two different water hazards. I had a blast, and shot better than my handicap from the blue tees.
Anyone else ever play his course? What did you think?

I played it a couple of summers ago. It was during the heat of the summer and the winds off the ocean were brutal! The course was in great shape and definitly was easier the second time around, but not a bad track to score well on the first time.
It was during the off-season when I was down there but got to play most of the courses in Puerto Rico and there was hardly anyone on any of them. I had a great time and i'm dying to get back down there. The Conquestador was my favorite. Rio Mar was a trip with the iguana's running around as big as dogs!
