I would like some info from users of Under Armour or any other "underwear" cold weather gear. Do they normally help cut down on wind as well? Just wondering the characteristics before I drop 60 bones on the new Under Armour "Drive Mock" made for golfers.
TIA

I have both the under armor heat and cold gear and they are both quality items. I have not seen the drive mock you speak of, but i can highly suggest the under armor brand

I haven't tried the drive mocks, but I have used the Metal compression mocks, and they do a great job of keeping me warm but not too warm. I don't think they add much wind protection though. I use a wind-blocking fleece vest over my shirt and the UA mock under that, and it keeps me comfortable in the cold and the wind.
I agree with you about the price, those things are expensive.

I've used the UA compression mocks, too and they're great. I've bought some of the Reebok compression shirts (long-sleeve) and wear them under a mock and that seems to cut down on some of the wind for me (throw a vest over the top and you're golden).

I wear the UA heat mocks for cool and cold days. With the right layers and/or coat, they are great. The ones I have were about $35 at Dick's.

Under Armour cold gear shirts are great but tight. Try it on before you buy. I bought a medium and could barely breathe with it on, needed the kids help pull the darn thing off. Had to return it for a large....

The Driver mock is a fashion shirt. The compression Under Armour is made for different weather conditions (Heat Gear, Cold Gear and All Season Gear). Here's a link to Under Armour's Golf line.

i have the cold gear leggings and mock from ua! they are tight and itchy at first but then u get used to it and it molds perfectly to you after a few swings! it does drastically cut the wind down and u can also limit the amount of other layers to put on and you swing better!!

This was the exact thing I wanted to hear! Cutting down on layers, warm, at least reduces wind, and most of all, easy to swing in.
I'm buying a UA Cold Gear Mock now
Thanks for all the feedback guys.

I know Under Armour is slightly expensive, but with my experience with Cold and Heat Gear i wouldn't trade mine for anything. I love all of the UA products.

My UA cold gear is the greatest thing I have bought in a long time. Make sure you check the color really close in the store though.. I thought I bought black but it ended up navy blue.
Usually I just need the UA CG shirt and a sweater when I go out.
