Looking for a good bag that will work well in a push cart but still allow me to carry sometimes... small courses 9 holes etc... looking for a bag that stays fairly well organized with some room for stuff etc... but doesn't make me look like I am carting a cruise ship around. any thoughts or a different bag that I ought to look at.
Thanks

I have the 2005 Sun Mountain MPB and it's awesome. The only problem I had with it is it did'nt fit all that great in a motorized cart. Maybe it was just the stuff I had in it or just me not being smart. Who knows but this bag is the best one i've ever owned. If you just want to cart only I have a Bennington CEO cart bag for sale.

I have owned a grom bag for several years and have tried to replace it several times but I keep going back to it. I love the Woode system (slots for woods and putter). This system will allow you to take your cover off of your putter and not worry about it beating around with the other clubs. It is stiff enough to fit well on both riding and pushing carts but doesn't weigh a ton. I have and izzo spirit for hard core carry days but the bag does not have the rigidity to be used a lot on my push cart. Hope this helps.

do yourself a favor and check out the datrek hybrid bag. Great 14 way top, plenty of pockets, and sits really well on a push cart. I got one and am loving it. JQ

I'm debating between the exact bags listed in this post (Ogio Grom and Sun Mountain MPB). I'm generally a fan of Sun Mountain, I currently have the C-130 cart bag, the Avalanche stand bag, and the push cart. Right now I'm looking for a wider-top stand bag to be used primarily on my push cart or on the back of a golf cart...that will still work well at the range. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of my Summit-X.
Ogio Grom: I like the Woode top, putter well, and the location of the insulated pocket. But the stand mechanism seems less "solid" than that from Sun Mountain, and I have no experience with Ogio.
Sun Mountain MPB: Seems like a nice melding of my two current bags, but would probably work best on a cart. The 2007 design seems to have improved the lack-of-handle issue...but the insulated pocket location and lack of score card holder makes it less of a walking option. It also doesn't look very cool to me.
Anyway, I'm interested to hear what everyone has to say.

After much thought... (way to much thinking for a bag!!)... I went with the Grom.... I haven't been able to see all the bags that I wanted to at local shops. I saw a couple different SM Scb's.. but not the MPB... decided that I wanted something that would be manageable for walking and I think th MPB is just too much... The Woode top and pockets sold me on the Ogio... The pockets are great the zipperless ball pocket etc. I tried it on a couple of carts at a store.. was going to get the Bag boy sc545 but decided to spring for the Speed cart on sale.. It really holds onto bags nicely, the Grom fit nice and snug.... the consensus from everyone I spoke to the it is well worth the extre$$ ... The other bag that looks really nice is the Ogio Edge... but it is a little big for carrying.
