Very nice, indeed.
Question....Do you have any nice golf stores over there? I live in Atlanta and the PGA Superstores in the area are awesome. Now I know why women love to go shopping all day.....I could do the same in the PGA Superstore.

this isn' my club, but it is my favorite pro shop i've done. i was a part of the design team and the project manager for this. it the pro shop at The Golf Club at Lansdowne Resort. i call it the cathedral of golf.
this is a shot from the attendants desk looking out on to the pro shop

this is a shot from the resort pool looking at the clubhouse. the large gable and window closest to the pool is the pro shop

Looking at those prices and they are pretty expensive comparing to what we pay South Africa.

good lord, those are some pretty big pro shops, love the pool table in the middle there, that would never be covered with golf stuff if i worked there. slow periods of the day few games of 9-ball may get played
wondering how many of you have TV's in their pro shops??
the course i work at and the course i am a member at are 2 of the few that dont have tv's in the shop, IMO its somewhat stupid, put the TV overhead and behind the desk so you members/guests can see it from the floor, but it also makes your staff come out from behind the counter. obviously only sports or golf on the tv

Nice pro shop. I love the euro Callaway orange white and blue bag in the upper right corner of the first picture. Who knew there were so many Illini fans across the pond.

The Illini nation has a wide reach

I'll never forget the day I was set to play County Louth in Ireland. When I arrived at the first tee and looked at the bag of the person I was paired to play with I noticed his bag tag was from Champaign Country Club where he was a member. Small world.
Does anybody know where else I can get that Bluto headcover. That looks great.

Woah...
I'm amazed, largely because my entire pro shop could fit in one photo frame.

Most places around me have a really small Pro-Shop. This seems to be mainly due to all the Shops (Golf etc, PRo Golf, Dicks, Golfsmith) that exist in the immediate area. If more Courses invested more in their Proshops I think they would sell more equipment, but they don't so they won't.
Thanks,

i thought i would chime in on the size of pro shops. the pro shop that i displayed is at a 45 hole member/resort club. a lot of the merchandise is logo stuff to advertise the course, that is why its so big. its 2,000 sf of retail space and another 500 sf of offices, storage and workroom. typically in most of the private clubs we do pro shops of 1,000 - 1,200 sf plus another 300 - 400 sf of offices, storage, and workroom. in public clubs will do a larger pro shop because there are typically more purchases. clubs are not a big seller in pro shops. the sales really come in clothing (gloves, shoes, shirts, hats, etc....) and golf balls.
