Ok, just seeing as to what is popular amongst the masses. It would be based on these conditions:
1) Quality of material/design
2) Style
I personally prefer Aureus Dri- whatever. Finds it keeps moisture away from the body better than any other. In terms of "sharpness" I think Lindeberg would probably be the best, followed Hugo. I also like Callaway pants. Lets hear what you guys like to be seen in!

J L Lindberg's my fav, but then again I don't really wear a lot of "golf" clothes, I just throw on a pair of jeans and a tee shirt and I'm off.

I have been wearing RL Polo since I was 18 years old, I am now 39. I still have clothes that I bought back then, (they don't quite fit anymore), but they are still in great shape.
I also like Ashworth, Fidra, and Adidas.

I just got some Straight Down performance fabric shirts. They are awesome. Comfortable and don't stick at all. Not only do they look sharp with good designs, but the quality and wear are impressive. Give these a try if you get a chance!

POLO golf is basically my entire golf wardrobe.....its well made lasts a long time and always looks good....nice classic look....I also have some JL but not much......I have to admit that the new Nike TW collection pants for the fall are very nice and might get a couple pair......they are a nice heavy weight for when it starts getting cooler up here In Pennslvania. O and they look real sharp some plaid stripes and checks...very nice

Hi, I'm new to the boards.
My favourite is Lindeberg by far. I think they have the best style and cuts. Pricey however. Boss has some nice stuff. I've also been wearing nice shirts by an Australian company called Turtle Creek. Nice and very affordable.

Got mostly adidas in my wardrobe although I do have a lot of Ashworth and Polo. Polo stuff is great quality but the styling is great on Adidas stuff. My local pro is going to be stocking Lindeberg so I might have to get some of that.

1. Polo Ralph Lauren (don't like their pants though)
2. Lacoste (polo shirts especially)
3. J. Lindeberg (don't like his pink and purple colors though - they are kind of gayish looking - no offense)
4. Nike (great all round collection)
5. Ashworth
But also like Fred Perry and Robe Di Cappa polo shirts

I'm a polo shirt junkie - I own at least 50 Ralph Lauren polo shirts, 25 Lacoste, 25 Nike, 10 J Lindeberg, 20 Fred Perry and 10 Robe Di Cappa

Top of the heap: Hugo Boss, no other golf brand comes close for styling.
Functionality and every day play: Adidas, climacool stuff can't be beaten playing in the heat, the climacool shoes are by far the most comforatble shoes ever.

Personally, I am a colourful guy, so i lov Lindeberg, but the availability of J Lindeberg in North Carolina is a problem. I have been wearing mostly Lacoste and Adidas. I perfer the tighter fit so normally i size down. I hate pulling up that left sleeve.

Out of curiousity, what is the price point of Smedley England? Never heard of them here in Canada.

I'm not quite sure what the price point is on Smedley as I recieve these shirts as presents as I live in Australia and we don't get it here. Maybe some of our UK memebers can answer this question. All I know is apparently they are ultra expensive.

Agreed on the dri-fit........ although I have found not all dir-fit is equal. the UV has more polyester than regular dri-fit(check the label) and here in Florida's humidity cotton is so annoying.
RL is my other choice also

As for favorite brand? Whatevers on sale at Golf Galaxy or the department store.

Cutter-Buck is excellent quality and not expensive. Bobby Jones has a tendency to shrink and lose luster after 2 - 3 washings. Norman Pique shirts are excellent, his other stuff shrinks and the collars fold up.

I've got a Climacool polo and I agree that the thing never stays tucked in, but it's an awesome shirt. The Sphere Dry polos are pretty damn cool. I really love the soft ofeel of it. And if you guys haven't tried them out the Greg Norman version (I think it's Play Dry or Stay Cool, but can't remember) is really unbelievable! It's every bit as good as the Adidas and the shirts were about $15 cheaper!!

I'm sure I'm forgetting many others. There are a lot of great apparel options out there these days.

Whatever's on sale at 50% off from mid summer prices..
recently I've bt Greg Norman short and long sleeve mock shirts (made by Reebok I guess?). great value in November, extremely comfortable.
I confess to caring more about quality, comfort and value than about style or color.
(KIND OF) Off Topic: I think Zero Restriction outerwear is amazing stuff, Beautifully made, innovative designs. makes playing in soupy weather almost fun (actually, if your opponent doesn't have decent rain gear, it's a LOT of fun

). I have a lot of this stuff: traveler suit, wind vest, short sleeve vest, rain hat.

I am very disappointed. I tried on some Nike Tiger Woods dri fit and just loved them so I have asked Mommy to get me some for Christmas. Whether i get them will be another story. No one voted on them so I don't know if they are worth the money or not. I tried on the regular Nike that was not the Tiger Woods line and did not like them near as well.
Anyone has any history on these pants?
I also have not been able to find them in houston other than online. Nordstrom was suppose to carry them , but not in the store only on line.
thanks

Got a question. I'm a big guy (6'4", 270 - big through shoulders and chest) and am wondering if anyone has experience with which manufacturers cut their shirts bigger to begin with and have very limited shrink. I don't use a drier for my shirts (hang dry only) so that's not a problem. I already have some Cutter & Buck which run larger and hold up well. Others like Polo, Ashcroft and the Jack Nicklaus collection (which I recently bought - XXL) just about fit when new and wind up tighter than I like even after 1 washing.
