I am trying to get Rocket Tour Headcovers in our shop and think they would do well. I REALLY like them, but a few guys at work are skeptical because they don't. What is your general consensus on them? Do you like them and would you ever consider purchasing them? Thanks guys!

Cause of crappy webs(h)ite. Don't support flashsites that loads minute and have terrible audio.

I have purchased multiple sets of Rocket Tour headcovers and have NEVER been disappointed. A few months back I was looking for a particular color combo (Black/Pink) which was not listed on their website. I decided to call them to see if I could custom order a set. Unfortunatley this wasn't an option, but that combo was actually in the works of being designed. The person I spoke with took down my info and said he would call me back when their samples arrived. Sure enough, three weeks later I had a message from Rocket Tour informing me they had a sample set and it was being held for me if I was still interested. Jackpot!
So, to answer your question...YES, I will continue to support/purchase from Rocket Tour.
Hmmmm, new WRX sponsor???

You're right, it's not the best site out there, but do yourself a favor and give them a try before you knock them...you won't be disappointed.

I have a skinny stick on my Sonartec and really like it. I will probably buy a couple more. As others have said, it disquises clubs, and it does protect the shaft much better than the hybrid cover that came with the MD.

I must be getting old (i am 38). Don't see why I should spend money on that stuff. My woods and hybrids have OEM covers that work fine. Rather put that money into shoes to shirts before headcovers. Maybe I am missing something...but who cares? I never looked at a fellow golfer and said "Wow! Check out those headcovers!".

I think they look great and my G5 headcover doesn't cover the shaft so I like that aspect of the rocket tour. Also keeps your bag low key not letting potential thieves no that you have a new $300+ dollar driver!

I agree, thats a big minus on most OEM's. One of my 3 wood shafts has noticeable shaft wear from rubbing on the divider

I've had several sets of Rocket Tours and they're great covers. I especially like the skinny sticks for hybrids and small fairways. Right now I have the OEM TM r7 covers on my driver and 3 wood but the red/black skinny sticks on my rescue duals. I hate to have more than 2 OEM covers in my bag as it get's to be too much and the Rocket Tours add a nice look and complement OEM covers very nicely. They're a bit pricey at $29 + shipping but they last a long time. It would be great to have more retail outlets to pick them up at.

Rocket Tour is a very tough sell depending on your course. To use a word from an internet ninny you must be a superhighend course to sell headcovers that run that kind of price. You might consider keeping one or 2 in the shop and having them as custom order.

I have two and after less than a year, the wood pom pom cover is starting to come apart. Not very durable, if you ask me. I don't abuse my clubs or travel.
If you're interested in getting a limited selection cheaper, Golfsmith has em. Wait for the FF sale two days from now. They're $19 each, I believe.

I sport the 3 wood and a couple of skinnys on my rescue clubs. I think they look great and are well made.
I do agree however, at that price point ($29), it may be tough to convince members etc. to purchase. The best alternative is to keep a couple on display and perhaps order them when required.

The only headcovers I've seen in a course were AME headcovers (not putter covers) in the Olympia Fields pro shop when I was lucky enough to play there this summer. I bought one that is a PERFECT headcover for a hybrid.

I have had several develop holes in them, always in the same spot about 1.5" down from the pom on the side with the velcro number tab. They have always been great at replacing them. They said they changed the wool/fabric they were using because of that, and the newest one I got to replace the other "holey" one has been fine.

Personally, I would rather have a Giant Swoosh Headcover that one that says Rocket Tour in giant font.
If I wanted a headover like that I would go with a Jan Craig. Spend the money on a couple of gloves or a box of balls.

Voted no as well. They just remind me of the old style gym sock with embroidery. That and OEM's are stepping up and putting "socks" on their headcovers to protect the shaft from bag chatter.

I like Jan Craig because they're more traditional looking and they offer more custom colors for me. The price may be a bit high but Sometimes it pays to spend a few extra bucks for a look you want.

I love my Rocket Tour headcovers. I got a blue/yellow driver cover for Christmas, and ended up winning another one in a promotion (which will go on my new 200 steel 5 wood

). On top of looking great, they are very easy to get on and off without slipping off during a round.

I'm sure there great headcovers, But I don't really like them because I don't really like the looks of them and 29 dollars seems kind of pricey for what your getting. But I'm not going to say they suck because I have never had one.

I received 4 from my kids for Christmas. Red/Yellow for the Driver, Green/Yellow for the FW, Blue/Black and Black/White Skinny Stix for the hybrids. I love them. I love that my kids picked 4 different ones. My Daughters said it was "cooler" if they don't match.
Are they worth $29...??? I don't know, but is a driver worth $400?, a putter $200?, who really knows. I knew golf wasn't cheap going in so I don't think about the money. They look good and I appreciate the nicer things. I have no other vices left but golf so I am going to do it right

I think they're great. I'm very into the whole retro golf craze. Anything that makes you feel better about your clubs can only add to your ability to score, wow, sound like a psychologist now, :|.
I currently have a Herbie Husker headcover but am going to replace him with a Rocket Tour cover, Herbie isn't fairing so well right now with a couple holes in just over 1 season of play.

I have several, and have found durability to be a real problem. I used one on my R7 425, and in less than 3 weeks it had developed a silver-dollar-sized hole. I also use one on my 906F2 3 wood, and in a bout 6 weeks there is an inch-long tear in it too. I am pretty gentle with them - certainly not abusive - but I don't baby them either ... I treat them like, well, headcovers.
Big thumbs down from me. Very cool looking, but durability problems I would expect with a $5 cover, not a $30 one.

Just arrived today three different coloured covers, really like how they look and will definitely be picking up some more!
Durability seems to be an issue judging by the posts, but I would have guessed that from looking at them, they are machine knitted after all. I think I will get a few different colours and rotate them see how that works out.
PS sheppy335 if you're still looking for a 5 number for the velcrow tab PM me with your address and I'll send you one!

Where did the hole wear on the one you had on your r7? Near one of the weight ports?

I have no idea what people are doing to get holes in them. I have had mine for over a year now and they look nearly new.
I just received my new lime lime green and black in the mail today.. It seems the poms are a bit bigger now.. I really like it!!
