Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by. We’ve had a few emails asking about Cleveland Golf and their plans for their current Tour staff and now we’ve got some answers straight from the company.
Essentially Cleveland is trying to keep their rising Tour budgets in line with their sales. The company will be cutting back on their staff to cut costs and will not be renewing those endorsement contracts that expire at the end of this year. The most noteworthy player in this group is David Toms. It’s not a guarentee that Toms will be leaving but chances are very good that he’ll be sporting a new sponsor in 2008… many think TaylorMade will land his services. From all accounts Toms is a real quality guy and Cleveland is sad to see him leave but they also know that moves like these are needed to stay competitive in today’s market.
That’s all for tonight. We’ll keep digging for news and will post as things become available. Remember to take a moment and remember those men and women that serve to keep our world safe! Have a great weekend and we’ll talk to you soon!
