I have played on the mini tours with Albert many times and he is just so strong. Check out his forearms. Man I tell you he can hit it a ton. I guess if there was no water there he would have hit it 20 yards further. Kelly can also hit it a mile. He either currently holds or held the Worlds longest Drive as per " The guiness book of records" Something over 600 yards. I heard it was done at an airport (not sure if it was on the runway or not). One morning before the show aired for the day we were all messing around trying to hit the ball with Alberts grip, s*** that is hard, I whiffed the 1st 3 or 4 shots, man it was totally comical, guys and gals alike whiffing it, it was hysterical. I hope we see it on tape somewhere. Then again Albert could not hit the ball with a natural grip either.
The closest to the hole with the Driver was total luck, sure you had to hit a good shot but then it depended on the bounce. Albert's drive finish less than 1 yard from the rough at the end of the fairway. 1 more yard and he would have been OB. Thems the breaks. But Albert is a totaly cool guy as were all the guys but one (and don't ask I wont tell). (Excluding me

)
All sorts of things happen, take my 1 st bunker shot that went off into never never land. I must have stepped up to hit that shot 5 times before the cameras were ready. By the time I hit the shot I was cold and stiff and totally iced. Also you could not see the surface from where you were hitting from and the green had a SEVERE slope back to front and right to left.
BTW: If you take really close look at Annie's 1st bunker shot, it was on the line. (Any part of the ball touching the line is good) The official said it was out and what the official says goes ...
The 2nd chip shot from that nasty uphill sidehill lie with your feet below the ball was as tough a shot as they could find and one thing to remember, the golf course was tricked out. The rough was deeper than any US Open rough. If you stuck your club into it grip first more often than not you will see the grip just totally disappear. It was that long. Also the fairways were narrowed to about 25 yards or so (Except hole #1 which was 40 yards wide).
The thing that I found out about the show while on it, was ... That stuff is WAY harder to do with cameras on you than while you are out on the course in the flow. I thought that some of the people on the previous shows were not the best golfers, but I have gained a whole new respect for them. They can all play. Sometimes the show does not bring it out and the situations dictate.
There were 9 girls and each of them had REAL GAME. How much game do you have to have to get into Minnesota on a golf scholarship, which is what Karyn did.
Just a little insite into her, she got into Minnesota on a golf scholarhip as stated, she carried a 4. something GPA through college, is a ceritified fitness instructor (while at college), was Miss Minnesota and is a concert level pianist. You should hear her play. This is one multi talented girl. Where the hell do you find the time to do all of that.
In case you did not know Kristy McPherson finished 4th on the Futures tour and thus gets a fully exempt card to the LPGA tour next year. So you know that she can play.
