I wanted to know if anyone has played Shady Oaks (private course) and what your thoughts are on it. I will be playing this next week and have the opportunity to join. Any info good or bad would be appreciated.

Wonderful golf course! Many in the DFW Metroplex consider it as good as Colonial, it was actually Hogan's home club. The times I have played it the course has been in perfect condition. Mike Wright the Director of Golf is one of the best guys in the industry. I don't know the cost to join but I know some members who love being at Shady Oaks.

I appreciate the info. The cost of membership is $40,000 and going to $60,000 next year. I noticed you are from Kingwood. I grew up there and played a ton at Deerwood Country Club.
