I really don't need a new cart bag. My inexpensive Acuity stand bag is just fine. However, after walking 18 holes @Turtle Creek with arkstorm and rblum22, I realized that a stand bag is kind of useless, since I always use my push cart when I walk. Of course, stand bags aren't really suited for push carts.

I really don't want to spend more than $100, but I'd spend $150 for a really nice bag. I'm hoping it will last 5 years or more.

Any suggestions? I don't really care about weight per se, since I'll be pushing or riding.

Thanks!

It's just a hair more than you want to spend, but I REALLY liked the look of the Titleist lightweight cart bag. Damn near walked out of the store with it. Tons of pockets, and nice features like a tuck away strap, beverage holder, and it's still lighter than others I've seen.

Oh, and it's on clearance now at TGW!

It made the ever growing list of stuff I "need." laugh.gif

I second the Titleist, it's a great bag.

I just picked up a Cally X bag and I really like it....I got it for 160 after a golfsmith coupon, I"m sure you could get a good price online somewhere

Ohhh...I was looking around and I saw the Callaway "Philadelphia Eagles" bag, but it's a stand bag. I'm a HUGE Eagles fan (even got the logo tattooed on my right back) and the bag would match my headcovers for my woods.

I'll check out the Titty and Sun Mountain bags, too. Thanks!!

EDIT: Just checked out the Titleist bag, it has full-length dividers which is a very cool option. Might just have to snap that up on clearance, who cares about the color, right?

I picked up an Ogio Ego cart bag at Dick's Sporting Goods earlier this summer for $99. Last year's model just sitting with a bunch other oddballs on clearance. Never know what you might find nosing around those places. I was in the same position position as you, Big D McGee, and this works perfectly on my SpeedCart.

Without a doubt, the Ping Discover. I just bought one for $99. It is great. Lists for $170. I've seen them for $95. Let me know if you want the name of the website...

I prefer Great Divider Trolley, it's designed with pull/push car in mind, the 14-way full lenght dividers is good for me. Tgw.com has clearance now, asking for 69.88 (Trolley+, newer version)
My never-on-the-course Trolley is still in the closet for my backup sets now. (I walked all the time recently, but can't help to get one when the price is right.)

My current on-duty bag is Great Divider Journey, also 14-way full lenght dividers (less than 60 in TGW now) but is not so friendly for pull/push cart.

I have a Great Divider Maverick and it works find on both Push/Pull Carts as well as Golf Carts. The quality is very nice and I picked it up for $89 on Clearance at TGW.

For Push/Pull Carts, you just need to spin the bag around to get the woods at the top. I walk often and I never have and issues with this. Depending on the type of cart you are using (I normally Rent and everyone seems to have Bag Boy's) getting to the Front (now back) pockets isn't an issue since it's open on the bottom of the cart.

Thanks,

Wow, that Great Divider looks great, I like the "elevated base system". I'm going to stop by Dick's on the way home from work and see if they sell 'em there, otherwise I'll order it when I get home tonight. I knew, like always, I'd get EXCELLENT suggestions from my fellow members!! Thanks, everyone, I'll let you know what I pick up!

Anyone ever tried this Bag Boy model:

The "revolving top" feature seems pretty cool. It's a little above my budget, but what the hell, you only go around once, right?

I think right now it's between the Bag Boy and the Great Divider.

I remember reading in Golf Digest a few months ago that is was rated as an Editors Choice. I played around with one at my local golf shop andhad mixed feeling about it. The owner also said that people he sold that bag too commented / complained that people grips were getting damaged due to some locking mechanism that keeps the clubs in the bag incase of a tip over.

Looks like a cool idea tough.

^^I'd only buy the Bag Boy if I could take a look at it first. I won't buy it sight unseen from a website, that's for sure. It could always be one of those "cool things" that looks better on paper/in pictures!

Well, I ended up getting the bag Boy NXO Revolver today. Picked it up on sale at Golf Galaxy for $149. It was the last one and apparently no one wanted red. My bag now is red and silver, so that didn't matter to me. Going to clean my clubs and set up the new bag for a round tomorrow. i'll be using my push cart, so I'll let you all know how it works. So far, it looks super-cool!
