Has anyone purchased anything from infomercials on TGC? I was watching a couple (bored I guess) and saw ones for the F2 and Solus wedge. Since I'm in the market for a 60° I was curious.
Or do you have any wedge recommendations for a high HCP intermediate?

Maybe the new CG11 wedges from Cleveland they are supposed to be game imporovment, ugly, but game improvement.

Or Ping wedges? The older MB wedges should be decent prices now, and they have a large hitting surface and look good. Also pretty robust, so eBay also an option for them.

Oh, and TGC?
The F2 wedges look pretty bad, and if Bruce Devlin is their greatest advocate, then enough said. The pros will play 2-ball putters or long putters and all kinda wierd stuff so long as it works. No pros playing F2s.

A lot of used Clevelands around at decent prices. I use the Ping Tour S59 with a C grind, they are very versitile, and have great feel and control.

If you are in the market for wedges, I would bite the bullet and go to a pro shop and demo all the wedges that you can. I don't believe in buying my second choice, heres why. If you settle for something that you don't really want, in your mind you will be thinking this is not what I wanted, and can result in loss of confidence. If you plan on staying with golf, I would spend the $100 a wedge vs buying a used $50 wedge. You can keep and use a set of wedges for a very long time. If you learn to play with the gimmic wedges, I don't believe it will help your game, eventually you will have to use a real wedge. Might as well start out with them, and learn to get better with them. Plus, you can buy all the name brand wedges used for the same cost of the lesser ones, and i don't think the Solus and others are that much cheaper if at all. Good Luck.

Great advice everyone!
I'm thinking I just need to go to a shop and not even buy good ones online. I had to have 1" added to my club lengths when I bought them due to my "penquin arms" (short arms) so I am assuming that I would need to have any other ladies club lengthened also. Unless they make "senior" length wedges or I have a men's shortened.

Very well stated and I totally agree with you on the "loss of confidence" comment. Granted, it's all in the head, but there's nothing worse than standing over a shot thinking there's something "wrong" with the club.

Really thanks for the commet here. I was almost ordering the F2 wedge (although I already owned CG10 56/60 and the failure rate of my chipping/pitching is really less than 10%.) The ad in TGC is really convincing, and 100% short game achievement is every golfer's dream, I guess.
Thanks again, and thanks the golfwrx.com also.
