Get real dude.
I think it will certainly be a lot closer than the last one, maybe even a US win - God forbid :P
Having said that, the rookies could be a weak link, certainly Wetterich, Johnson isn't so bad and is quite steady. Cink is a good pick for you guys, but Verplank?? Not sure about that one.
Our team isn't quite finalised yet, although the top 7 are and there are some solid performers there. Monty is always solid in the Ryder Cup, and Luke is an excellent foursomes player, especially when teamed up with Casey. I hope Clarke gets picked, but having said that he hasn't had much golf recently due to the sad events, but he's such a character and influence I think the team needs him. Sergio is great in match-play, and could also be a great partner for Luke, for me more so in the four balls as Luke will be steady, fairways and greens, and Sergio will be the flair go for it guy. Not sure about Stenson and Karllson though, both have won this year on tour, so shouldn't be too harsh on them, and the team spirit side of things will really help.
Will be interesting come Monday morning when we know who Woosie has picked.

Let's be real...after Team USA lost to Greece at the World Championships, do you really think the US will win the Ryder Cup? No. Unless each player was getting some serious cash, the US will go over there and be thinking....hmm, how can i market myself for next year. Just hope we don't have any "Chris Riley" types on Team USA..."ah, I'm too tired to play this afternoon Captain Sutton"...what a freakin' joke.

How does a basketball tournament relate to the Ryder Cup?

Sorry guys - you are going down again :-)
Eroupe will once again will at home - eventhough the K Club I think will suit the US team more than traditional EURO venues.
My guess is that we (EUROs) will have a sufficient gap before the singles so that even if we should loose 3 or 4 matches we will retain the cup.
I think the US have to many rookies on board who are great stroke players but who do not have the matchplay nor teamplay experience
but it will hopefully be fun to watch

We need the "luck of the irish". We need Mel Gibson and the US team to dress up in kilts and do a Braveheart sequel. My biggest concern is to get Mel to sober up enough to lead the team. My plan B is to get Mel to take the Euros out drinking the night before, oh yeahn the drinks are on us mate!!!!!!

It might be a bit closer than everyone is saying. That is unless it rains then Europe have the advantage.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say the rookies the U.S. has this year will play a HUGE role in their win this year. I think the U.S. needs first time Ryder Cuppers because their the ones that get pumped and excited and usually play well. Now with that being said, I will exclude Chris "Panzy" Riley from that statement because he is the biggest joke of all time in Ryder Cup history.. But man alive J.J. Henry is playing sweet and I would pick him over any Euro's game right now.
I predict a U.S. win but not by much.

regarding predictions, who remembers a certain Hal Sutton predicting Tiger and Phil would be unstopable!? oh sorry, i guess Padraig and Monty didn't apply to that prediction.
the American teams of recent have been more gung ho! than a Hollywood war film, which has probably done the winning mentality in them no good. however, that seems to have changed a little this time round so maybe they won't get a drubbing like last year and Europe will only win by the odd point or five!
