Man, that brotha has got it going... My goodness.

So, some predictions for 2007..

I'm of the belief that he is going to have a year like 2000 next year.. and will surpass it by completing not only the Tiger Slam, but the actual Grand Slam.

The frenzy going into the PGA Championship will be unreal once he takes the Master's, US Open & British. I honestly that it's going to happen.

With the way that he's playing right now, I think that he's going to go on another win streak to also get to Byron Nelson's streak of 11. I don't know if he'll get there, but he's on his way.

I think that Phil and the rest of the gang are going to sit back and watch this fairy tale unfold. Deep down, anyone who's in the final pairing on Sunday with Tiger is really watching that brotha play, and watching greatness. At least Luke, DiMarco, May, Mickelson, etc. will be able to tell their children and grandchildren that they had a FRONT row ticket to watching the greatest player of our time.

I believe that the next person to take the reigns of the PGA Tour like Tiger has done is probably about 3 - 5 years old, somewhere. Don't know where, but probably resides somewhere in the U.S. I honestly don't believe that any of these guys is capable of taking over a tournament like Tiger. I think Tiger basically puts fear into his opponents, especially when he's in the hunt on the back 9 on Sunday.

Just look at the US Open. The brotha misses the cut, and what we witnessed was the utter collapse of EXTREMELY good golfer's.. the creme de la creme just wilted away.

Another thing... if Phil Mickelson doesn't stop using his driver, he's never going to win another major. I think that brotha's time has come and gone. And I don't think that Dave Pelz will EVER mutter another word about Tiger's game nor compare Tiger to Phil. It's not a comparison. That's like comparing a Ferrari to a stock Mustang. Sure, they're both fast cars.. but a Ferrari is a Ferrari. A Mustang is.. well... a Mustang (no offense to the Mustang owner's out there).

I also believe Tiger has gained BACK his intimidation factor that he once had. Kinda like MJ... he knew he was going to beat you... You knew that he was going to be you.. and worse yet, he knew that YOU knew that he was going to beat you.

I really admire his game face on Sunday's. Doesn't talk. Doesn't smile.. doesn't chat whatsoever. He's all about business and the business of winning. Unbelievable...

Just my $0.02.

Cheers!

Ditto. What will be will be.

BTW Thanks for the putter!! I love it!

I smell a Grand Slam next year.

If Tiger gets his putting to like how it was in 2000, he'll be virtually unbeatable. Only thing is, Carnoustie could very well stop him. If he gets the dodgy end of the tee times, he could be pretty much out of it after two rounds. Not a lot you can do about the weather.

Agreed. Carnoustie will probably be the only one Tiger will have any trouble with...and he could still win it...

The Masters: Chris DiMarco. WRONG

US Open: Tiger.

Open: Goosen. WRONG

PGA: Philly Mick. WRONG

The way I see it, 2007 and the majors themselves are a long way to go...whose to say that he will stay retain his current form then...I do believe he will win at least two majors, but all 4 is a little far-fetched considering how many months are left...a LOT can happen between now and then
Xt1ncT
Carnoustie should be interesting - truly some tough finishing holes there. Although I don't think the R&A will set it up as Car-nasty again like they did in 1999, although to be fair Paul Lawrie hit some great iron shots in that play-off, especially on 17 & 18.

If it's like Royal Liverpool was this year - hard and fast - Tiger could again get away with hitting 3 woods and 2 irons and still win.

Funny thing...when Tiger starts using the stinger again...he starts winning again..very cool..
and I do think 07 is going to be awesome to watch!

What we're seeing is dominance. Plain and simple. He was critcized that he couldn't come from behind and win. We'll he's done that for two weeks in a row.

Amazing....this kid is pretty good I hear....
minitour
My guess:

He's going to win about elevendybillion dollars on tour next year.

It's not like Vijay even played poorly today. 99% of the time, a 68 with a three shot lead gets it done in the final round. Unfortunately for Vijay, he was playing against Tiger, who seems to be hungrier than ever.

Golfware- I guess you just have to factor in the source of the comment. Same people that do not like Nike/Tiger probably feel that Brotha is a negative comment instead of seeing it like a man of faith, that "we are all brothers" and Sisters. Or Simply a expression referring to someone else. I think the thing that bothered that guy is the way you spelled the phrase??? Same guy who always has something salty to say about these topics involving Nike or Tiger.??? People really indicate their Age when they make comments like that...Coming from Old White guy who sometimes sounds like a Bigoted Redneck from WV. It just gets me that anytime there is a Tiger Forum or Nike Forum this guy is so negative and makes all of these Retial statements about sales when we are talking about the Tour. WHAT A JOKE!

Now why am I not suprised by the source of this response..... Speaking of a dead giveaway on one's age, I think you got finally got something correct. What you also fail to miss is your take on this is a dead giveaway about one's intelligence also--you continue to show your functional education level, IQ, and age are all about the same number give or take 5 points. fool.gif

How my comment about what Tiger's given name is, remotely relates to anything negative about him is beyond me. Golfware's response was a VERY GOOD ONE in that is how he feels and he wasn't being demeaning of Tiger at all (which is all I was concerned about, which can hardly be interpreted as negative toward Tiger don't you think?? OH I forgot you don't think).

Do a little more research on my negative comments on Nike. The only negative comment I've said is their stuff doesn't sell at retail with the exception of the SQ driver. Their forged irons and wedges are among the best made today but don't sell. You might reference my short review of hitting the SUMO the other day---hardly negative, but once again that doesn't fit your single brain celled moronic conclusions. And the fact that Tiger can't hit fairways with the SQ driver isn't negative it is a fact. Once again you have demonstrated your lack of ability to read or comprehend.

How's your traveling coming lately, O world traveler that you are---been the Dicks lately????

By the way your other conclusions were so wrong, it isn't funny. American Indian, Hawaiian heritage (sorry not red necked white guy), never been to West Virginia (have homes/condos in CA, AZ, CO, MI, and IL but not WVA). The old part was right particularly compared to you---but that doesn't take any hard work to guess---I can spell, you can not (it still is retail NOT retial). I can read, you can not.

Keep up your good shilling maybe it will have an impact on Nike's retial sales.

Absolutely nothing. My concern was that it wasn't a demeaning term. If that is your approach to life, that's great--more should have it.

Seem to be intrigued with using the term brotha. Thought his name was Tiger or Eldrick
[/quote]

I call everyone a "brotha" as we are all "brothas" in this world. What's wrong with that?

Sandy...Great Maturity on your part! Funny how a Mature Person like yourself would make comments about Spelling or my IQ. I just want to say If you were not making racist comments then I take back the comments about you in anyway. I never claimed to be a world traveler...You are the Clown that said you travel over 250,000 miles a year so you know everything about golf and Retail sales??? WOW were are all impressed with you Dude. I am just guy who loves golf but can't spell, proffessor. stop.gif

Cheers!

Now let's see which one of us started with the silly comments. 1. Would that be, do you travel around much to places like Dicks for your retail information. 2. Accusing someone of being a white redneck bigot old guy from VA (what is more inflamatory that or speaking about someone's inability to spell and their lack of intelligence). Also when you ask about someones use of the term brotha' how that can be termed racist is beyond me. More like I was asking if there were any racial implications in the comment. The gentleman answered those questions in a very MATURE manner, not with any accusations (which he might have been entitled to if he read and comprehended as poorly as you---luckily he did not--too bad we can't say the same thing for you).

At least one good thing has come out of this post---you can now spell retail.

In your terms this thread has been a WAIST of time DUDE. Now I suggest you put me on the ignored posters list as I am doing with you. You should be honored you are the first one on my list, hopefully I will be the first on yours. Also did you have a chance to read the extremely negative post I had on the SUMO driver, with your reading skills I guess it would be intrepreted as negative? Be sure to read it this evening after the bus drops you off at home.
