I played in my first individual tournament since high school this weekend. It was a two day event. The first day was at Eagle Bend, a muni that is a pretty nice, straight forward links style course. The second day was at Alvamar Public, a very nice daily fee course with new greens.
I shot 71 (-1) at Eagle Bend and 76 (+4) at Alvamar Public to win my flight by nine shots! It feels good to be back in a competitive golf tournament. I am so pumped up right now.

Congrats, 74 was pretty good at Alvamar in all that rain we had yesterday. Keep it up. Maybe next year you could play in the Kansas City Amateur; which was also this weekend and today.

Topeka, KS guy here just saying congrats on the win. Alvamar is one of my favorite courses anywhere at any price...especially after the new greens. Shot a 71 there the other day in good conditions, so your 74 is outstanding with the lousy conditions that were going through the area that day.

Thanks everyone ... I am just on fire right now. Before the tournament this weekend I had to play a match play round at Alvamar CC. We played from the tips. Great match went 19 holes. We both shot 74 in regulation and I rolled in a birdie on the 19th hole to win the match.
This was my first individual tournament since high school (1998). I hope to play more big tournaments in the upcomming years.
On the flip side ... I will be giving everyone strokes for a while, or I won't get any bets.
