Random one really, can you (if u wanted) play a regular ribbed grip (same as irons woods etc) on a putter?

Putter grips now are basically ribbed, just flat on top not rounded.

So you can play an everyday grip from an iron/wood on a putter if you wish then? Right?

Scott Hoch used to play a regular grip on his putter. You see what it got him, when he missed the put at the Master's
