Pretty funky, but they will be the ticket this off season and a longtime to come. Out of the box comfort.

Out of the box ugly. Are you playing BB or golf? If they were not high tops they would be OK.

I like'em where did you get them from?

I was in Michigan this weekend, stopped by Carls and saw those. The shoe guy had to come over to ask what I found so funny. Pretty much every shoe is waterproof, so I don't even really see the point of these. I think they'll be more popular with hardcore hikers who want more traction than golfers.

They're meant to be worn with rainpants and the whole get up... I don't play in a foot of water, despite living in Oregon... but they're almost certain to keep your feet wet.

They look much less ridiculous in full garb.

Let's get a pool together to encourage the OP to wear them w/ shorts smile.gif

Some good points.....I had money on the books and these were new at the shop. All my shoes are waterproof being up in the NW, but these will be for the Mud courses that I tend to play in the off season as these are not my Country Club shoes. They do look better with pants or rain pants over them and YES, I to would like these even better if they were not 3/4 cut. Last, my black Adidas that I use in the off season just get nasty looking even after much cleaning. These will be easier to keep looking new much longer then the leather uppers.

These are Nike Zoom Bandon, so just do a search to find them online.....saw them at www.discountgolf.com

Would definitely look funny with shorts. Pants they would look fine.

Haha....I think that is the one thing that will NOT be ok with these shoes. I think the OP has a good idea being that he got them strictly as "mudders" for this winter. It will keep him from getting his good shoes a mess before next season.

I like the 3/4 top for wet fall/winter golf, it helps keep water from entering over the top. I plan to get a pair. When the weather is crummy, fashion goes out the door, keeping comfortable (dry) is king.

I went to Golf Galaxy to buy a pair, but, they didn't have any. I picked up a pair of Bite Golf boots for $16 instead.

A couple of rounds in and these have been great so far.......maybe I'll take em to my Palm Desert Trip just to make some people happy! clapping.gif

I guess they must not carry these at your shop! smile.gif

Super Bomber Man
despite the look of them, they are actually quite comfortable and very good keeping your socks dry. The zip up covers also keep the laces clean and dry. Traction is also fantastic.

I really wanted to say that your post really brought a whole lot to the table, but your Avatar of one of the funniest Cat things ever let you off the hook.

Could you post a pic of you wearing them with pants? I like the idea. I live in Tennessee and it gets a little messy. I would think these would be good for golf course workers too?

If I had a pair I'd sport them with shorts any day of the week. Just once though. Well unless I go real low and then they'd be keepers. I'd seriously wear them as a joke though. Playing partners wouldn't be able to focus at all and in a nice cash match, that's always a plus.

Thanks for the pic. With pants looks like a regular golf shoe. Might have to pick up a pair for fall/winter/spring.
