I am about to pull the trigger on a pair of ZR featherweight travelers pants, but I am not going to have the opportunity to try them on before hand. I normally wear a plat front size 36 pant waist. They are worn somewhat low and loose. No nut huggers for me. My question is for those who wear the ZR pants: would you recommend that I go with the large or x-large. I am leaning towards the large because I do not want them to look like a pair of Zubaz, but I also do not want them to be tight. Anyone have an opinion on the fit. The Large is supposed to be "up to 39" " and the X-Large is supposed to be "up to 42" ".

I'm a 38- go with large. How tall are you?
I had the x-large but had to send them back. I could have fit my whole foursome in there!
I'm curious where you found them- all I could find in the featherweights was small and x-large. I had to go with a different style.

Well, I found them in Large for about a half a second on TGW's website for $101.90. I waffled on buying them because of the sizing issue and now I can only find them in XL. I did however get Golfsmith to match the price of the pants in XL. I did this because if they do not fit, which I am sure they will not, I can exchange them for a pair that fit at a local-ish store. That's the plan anyway. TGW also has the Tour-Lite Travelers jackets for $169. I want to buy one of those as well but am in the same boat with the sizing. I wear a 44 reg suit jacket which puts me at the upper limit of ZR recommendation for a Large jacket.

Yeah- that was the problem- medium and large was sold out of everything. Same on all the web sites.
I finally went to Discount Dans- I figured in this case, dealing directly with a person would be a benefit. He said he had them in stock, so I ordered them. Turns out "in stock" means Zero Restriction has them in stock and he was going to drop ship them from ZR to me- OK, that's totally fine, normal operating procedure. Well, ZR was out of stock too.
I finally ordered a different style of the pants. Basically the same thing but not the featherweight travelers- these don't unzip to shorts. Oh well.
Best the guy at Discount Dans could figure is ZR is getting ready to introduce next years clothing line. They are dumping stock of the current stuff, so it is all hard to find right now.
I also purchased the jacket a few weeks back from TGW. Turns out it had a defective front zipper. So I had to return it for another one which is fine. Lots of going back and forth on this!
