Its getting to be about that time of year, and regardless of the temperature, if there's no snow I'll still be playing. I was thinking about investing in a pair of winter golf gloves this year, and wanted some recommendations. I'm just hoping to find a pair that aren't too thick but keep the feeling in my hands for at least the front 9. Right now I'm between the footjoy wintersof and the Mizuno ThermaGrip. thoughts?

I just bought the Footjoy's and they feel pretty good. Haven't actually used them yet though, just swung a few times with them. Paid like $23 for em total.

I just bought the Under Armour cold gear gloves. They were $30 but they work well and are still pretty thin.

Just bought some thermagrips on ebay for $14 and got to use them once. Seem to work well kept my hands nice and warm even though it was windy as all get out. Just a little weird getting used to wearing two gloves for me.

I have the Footjoy. Excellent hand warmers but the thickness of the glove messed up my feel with right hand (I'm a righty) and now play in the cold weather with Footjoy wintersof on my left hand and a Nike rain glove on my right!

nice. thats what im looking for; something not to thick but that can withstand some wind. i love the mizuno gloves, they fit my hands perfectly. ill have to give these bad boys a try.

are the gloves really that thick? or is it just that youre not used to wearing anything on your right hand? how do the rain gloves perform in chilly weather? these are on my shortlist, and im curious as to how they perform.

I've tried many of the golf winter gloves. Believe it or don't, my gamers are Black Diamond midweights bought at REI. Not a "golf glove", but works better than the golf gloves for me.

Yes, the footjoy gloves are on the thick side and really keep your hands warm but they're not like real winter gloves by any means. Just enough thickness to bother me. The rain glove on my right hand works fine in cold weather. I'm talking about cold, though - under 40F - and I play in those temps a lot. If I play over that temp and still need gloves I use the rain gloves on both hands.
