i know its an older shoe but i need new shoes and dont want to spend so much... found a good deal online... anyone own these before? hows the comfort/durability/performance of them?

I got these on sale at Golfsmith as a back-up shoe for my Dry Joys. Obviously everyone's feet are different, but I found that they fit me very well and caused no discomfort on a lengthy golf trip. They performed very well on wet courses and don't really show much signs of wear after about 10 rounds.

Overall, they're just as good as my Dry Joys plus they don't stain my socks!

Appreciate the review. Thinking about picking up pair and was wondering the same thing.


Lately, I've been sporting Adidas...which perform great...but don't fit well for me. I love the look and performance of Adidas shoes, but for some reason they squeeze my feet right around the arch (middle of my feet)...even the wide sizes.

My past Nike golf shoes have always been a good fit for my feet and very comfortable...and I've like how perform as well. I'm not such a fan of their latest styles though...the 8.5 are about the only style in the last couple years that I like.

I have 2 pair. I absolutely love them. The best shoes I've ever had. Better than the newer ones.

I own a pair of these shoes and love them. They look good, feel good. I walk most of the time and after having them for about a year and a half they still do the job. The only thing you have to watch out for is the air pockets may get a little hole in them and they'll begin to squeak, nothing a little super glue cant take care of. GREAT SHOE. You won't be disappointed.

I am having a problem with squeaking on a pair of SP-6's also. They only squeak in the morning when its wet, how did you find the hole to put super glue on? I looked and don't see any noticeable hole.

I know you said you are looking at the 8.5, but the 8 is a great shoe also and can be had cheap. I have a pair of them, and I am thinking of picking up another just in case I need them in the future. They are comfortable and I have walked 36 numerous times in them in one day and they have held up great.

The 8.5 is the best fitting golf show I ever had, but I went through 5 pairs because they kept popping. I have Adidas Tour360 3.0s now, which have a similar fit, but not quite as good.

i assume nike doesnt replace or fix the bubble burst problem?

There's a two-year warranty from date of manufacture, which is indicated on the tag on the tongue of the shoe. Mine were all covered (and I actually made out pretty good, since they gave a $230 nike.com giftcard for each pair when I only paid around $130 for most of them), but by now most pairs are probably beyond the two year mark, so that's why I went another direction.

They're my favorite walking shoe (save the FJ classics) and now they're dirt cheap. I think I paid like $100 for two pairs... to save for a rainy day.
