I recently just mailed an almost new pair of FJ's back for replacement. I won't go into further detail until I see how they handle the situation....so with that in mind, has anyone ever sent back a pair of shoes for quality issues, if so, how did it turn out for you?

Great. I had an eyelid break on a dryjoy. I sent them the shoes. They asked me which dryjoy I wanted in return. I stupidly told them the wrong one I called them and said I wanted to try the Icons. They told me to just send in the dryjoys with a check for the difference b/w the dryjoys and icons. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IMHO

little different experience here....have some reelfits..about 8 months old, one of the reels is stuck. I called them and they said that it happens all of the time, and that they were mailing me a "tool" and a new reel to fix it myself....Well that was 2 weeks ago. So i called them again the other day....the response was, oh, we forgot to ask you which reels you had, the 1 or 2 hole kind, so we didn't send you anything or call you either to let you know....well, now i am 4 weeks into this and still do not have the stuff to fix the shoe...last pair of FJ's i buy.....sticking with Addidas tour 360 3.0....

I had Contours a couple of years ago and they split at the side where the upper meets the sole. They were replaced twice by Footjoy no questions asked and I purchased them out of country. Excellent service.

My experience was awful.Although I love their shoes, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
I own a lot of shoes, right now there are Foot Joy Contours and Adidas 360 tour 3.0 in my locker that I rotate. There is a pair of brand new Ecco shoes and another pair of brand new Adidas 360 Tour 3.0 and a brand new pair of Etonics in my closet. This is after I gave a new pair to my nephew who is starting to golf. I also have another pair of Eccos in my travel bag and a pair of Reeboks in the trunk of my car for god knows what.
Long story short, I owned a pair of FJ Dry Ice that were just incredible, but as you can see,it took a while for them to make it into the rotation. So after quarter/half a season of use they started to leak and the fabric in the heel part of the shoes fell apart ( they had a two year warrenty).
I sent them back to FJ with a full explaination of what had happened ( the bottom of the shoes looked new and still with the original cleats in them looking perfect ).
They send the shoes back and told me that its not under warrenty anymore.
I was very disappointed and rather angry that they were so dismissive of my claim and concern. These shoes were $165 on sale so it wasnt like a $45 throw aways, so a little customer service would had been much appreciated.
I havent bought another FJ since and the Contours in my locker were bought a while back, so most likely will be the last.
In the other hand, the Ecco's have fantastic customer service where a friend of mine send a 1 1/2 year old shoes back that was beat to heck and they still warrentied it.
FJ make great shoes, but they could be a little more friendly.
Hope you do better

I did, and they sent me a new pair. However, it was not a bogus claim either (not saying yours is) you could actually see the defect in the leather after three rounds. BTW, they don't use distressed leather anymore as an option.

I sent a pair of Dry Joys back last summer. Some water leakage and right around the end of the 2 year warranty period. New shoes, no questions asked. When the black widow spikes first came out, I (and many others had trouble taking them out). Shoes sent back to FJ, returned to me with new spikes, awesome spike wrench and a new pair of socks.

With the shoes, I have been told one thing they look at is the shape they are in. So, if they have never been polished, not see shoe trees, etc., you might have a tougher time.

Mine were only 2 years old and only used 10 times. The leather is cracking and peeling already. I am hoping they just replace them...I really like the COntours, cheap, and super comfy right out of the box...

I have another pair of Contours over a 18 months old that have yet to crack or peel!

Today I received a Foot Joy box with a brand new pair of Contours, no questions asked. I am out $10 shipping, I was hoping that would toss some sort of freebie in there but nope, just the shoes.

We'll see how long these hold up!
