I am following David Duval's quest to regain his card quite closely. The Tour hasn't updated the stats as of yet on their website to include this weekend's tournament, but Duval's missed cut certainly won't help him. Before the week started he sat at 116, with about $623,000.
What I am curious about is the "non-member earning list". I know back in the 90s if there were people who were not members of the Tour within the top 125, the exemption went to the commensurate number of spots beyond 125(ie 3 non members on the list means 128 got his card). But I don't know if that is the case any more. 4 players are on the non-member list with winnings greater than Duval's. So is Duval really sitting 112 in terms of cards, or is there no longer any more of those distinctions?
And just how long does it take the tour to update their site?
Edit: just saw the list, and the 4 guys' names do not appear on the same list as Duval. So Duval is 116. What happens to those guys, is that number used to get them a card if it's high enough? Does that bump someone else?
