So I'm going down to San Diego this Saturday, and am planning on playing Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. What are the three best courses under $100? I'll be staying near Qualcomm Stadium. Thanks for any help!

I used to live in SD -- my favorites were always Steele Canyon, Carlton Oaks and Coronado. They should all be under $100. Torrey Pines South is also an obvious one, but I belive it is over $100. Never played Barona or Sycuan, but have heard good things.

Also, check out Tod Leonard's course reviews on the San Diego Union-Tribune website. He's the long time golf writer in SD County. Great source for all the courses, phone numbers, etc.

Try Pala Mesa.

Encinitas Ranch in Encinitas
Steel Canyon in Jamul
Riverwalk in Mission Valley (OK course)

Call ahead since most courses are overseeding in October.
