As a native of the Commonwealth, I couldn't resist aggressive.gif yes.gif

PS. I hope Tebow is okay and brings another one home for the conference.

This thread won't last long but, it was just a matter of time till tebow got his world rocked with all those carries, and I thought it was an awesome hit! Perfectly clean, just got his a$$ beat. And Perry rocks! Go VOLS!

I guess if Tiger & Perry were atleast in the same group, or in head to head match play, it would apply. Perry slapped the course around and hooked his way into the lead for sure.

What will you have to say about kentucky guys if he chokes tomorrow like he did in the Masters that was clearly his to lose?
dannybsj
Well i guess if theres noone from texas to route for then you jump on the ky guys and call em chokers haha

Perry was the last one to choke...Tiger did not play well in his final round of the PGA, he did not play well all day, that's a lot different than having the lead with two holes left and throwing up all over your shoes

I recall Norman "not playing well all day", and I'm pretty sure you would consider him as having choked in the '96 Masters. Maybe not, maybe the course just beat him too. IMO, choking is not limited to final two holes, but that's just my opinion.

Hello , wake up
Perry is a posterboy now for choking in a major ...., until he wins some ....

I don't think anyone is arguing otherwise. However, he's not the last one to do the old oxygen deprivation dance bad.gif

But back to the original point, Sept. 26th 2009 was KY boys 2 - Supermen 0. Nothing much deeper than that.

Not sure I follow , JD. Perry has 0, Tiger has 14. This year, they both lost majors they should've won. Tex said Perry choke his away, and I said they both choked them away. Tiger's being the most recent. Not sure I get the "distribution" angle.

Is this really being turned into a "Tiger is better than Perry" thread? Who in the world would say he isn't?

Well you started a thread about Perry vs. Tiger, I mean what did you expect?
mikethedog
Maybe people have different definitions of what it means to "choke"...I see it as not being able to pull off relatively easy shots under pressure, liking making two pars in a row.

I thought I started a thread about two KY guys who had a good day, hence the title of the thread. Perry caught fire, caught and past the best player in the world. This on the same day a Wildcat blasted Tebow and put him out of the game. Both sports' best players had it handed to them a bit buy a couple KY boys - that happens very seldom during football season. It was a cheeky little snapshot of one day's sports news. But as predictable as UK getting blown out, the overly sensitive Tiger fans came running. Perry's a choker, who's won more majors, etc, etc. It takes quite a creative view point to see this as a Tiger v. Perry thread, or worse try to turn it into one. It's a one day gloat for a state that doesn't get to do it much in September. Geeeeeze!

Hey overly sensitive Tiger fans, I heard someone say Phil beat Tiger today over there - go get 'em. Tell 'em how many more majors Tiger has than Phil. wacko.gif

Um... hey, "overly sensitive" Kenny Perry fans. How did he finish today again? Oh yeah. Choked again. Made the mistake of playing a course where you can't duck-hook your way to victory.

But I guess it is very important that at some point he was leading something. You go girl.

Bet you are a real tough guy huh! Hopefully Tebow is ok. Tebow and co. had no problem waxing those pansy VOLS and their idiot coach.

This thread is making me laugh a lot.

Also, I'm terribly thankful that this board has moderators.

If any thread was a candidate for being closed ... this one ranks up there (higher, actually, than Kenny Perry finished).

Sept. 27th. 2009. Florida guy won the Cup (Florida guys also won the football game) and a California guy won the event. KY boys 0.

I've read some posts from you on other threads about Tiger. You seem to have an issue with terms like "fan boy" and the like, but you almost always don't have a problem taking your own derogatory shots as you set someone straight. Maybe the hypocrisy is intentional, don't know. However, I have noticed your strong impulse to defend anything related to Tiger, which is certainly your right, but why do you the same tact (although usually better written) you chastise others for?

Kenny Perry is what he is. He's crapped away two majors, and today we can add a TC to the list. I'm the last person to get sensitive about anything, much less a golfer's record - it's all pretty black and white to me. To deny the fact that some guys are overly critical of Tiger is silly, just like denying the fact that some guys are overly sensitive of anything said about Tiger is silly. I didn't use any of the popular words that you have such a documented problem with. The term "overly sensitive" is pretty fair in this context, but I guess in your eyes, it's still enough to cross the line. Regardless, when you finish with a "you go girl", the high moral impartial ground you often opine from seems a bit inconsistent, don't you think?

What part of this topic has you or anyone else irritated or annoyed?

Well done, I don't think someone not from the south would get it. Anyway I heard Tebow just wanted to leave the game to do some healing of the sick at the hospital. Just don't lose to Gardner-Webb again. Sorry had to. busted2.gif

Probably right, this time of year in the South, we see through a different prism blink.gif .

That was a sick hit followed by an atomic knee - a lesser men would not have survived, lol.

We have the car salesmen of car salesmen PLUS world wide Wes - the GW domination in Rupp is OVER nono.gif

Let's give credit where credit is due. Not surprisingly, Kenny got killed on Sunday and UK got killed on Saturday. But, the best pizza on the planet can be found in Lexington, KY. Yes, Lexington, KY. Joe Bologna's is awesome. man_in_love.gif

So, they've got that going for them. Which is nice. drinks.gif

Wow, bold pizza statement!

I don't think many are surprised KP didn't hoist the dish today. Apparently most are that Tiger didn't either, and even more that Phil did.

UK has "career shot syndrome". They knocked off LSU a couple years back, now there's that thought in the back of the mind that maybe they can pull of the career shot again. We all know how often that happens smile.gif

KP reminds me of the everyday guy that makes it big -- kind of like the Beverly Hillbillies.
He's had his chances on the big stage and flopped. This ever happen to you guys? Of course not.
Everyone on here is a former all-American, state am champ, and current club champion.

UK football can be painful to watch so we celebrate the small victories. TT is a phenomenal football
player and an even better human being. TT got rocked and we all hope he's back to 100%.

Phil Mickelson gets a free pass for his family concerns. What about KP with the serious medical concerns with
both his parents? Give the guy a break -- he's human. We all hit bad shots.

The guy who started the thread was just having some fun.

Unbelievable how many guys throw spears on this forum.

I think the degeneration of the thread is pretty much over, thankfully. But we should take back Mickelson's free pass for "family concerns." We get all weepy at the cancer news and it turns out he was putting a consortium together to buy a chain of waffle houses.
