MB vs CB
-CB if you need the help or the reassurance
-MB if you can handle them in terms of skill level and/or abuse tolerance
-Can't break 100? disregard this
Up a flex or down a flex (usually R vs S but X shows up here and there)
-Get fitted or ask a club fitter at the least
-swing faster
GPS vs Range
-If you don't mind extra work for accuracy then Range
-Quick access info - GPS
-If you don't know what your 150 club even is. Disregard this
Carry vs Cart vs Ride
-Carry if your body lets you
-Push for your health's sake or to enjoy the 18 hole walk
-ALWAYS WALK! unless the course doesn't let you
Headcovers
-Woods/hybrids are fine and poms/socks are preference (kinda cool in my book)
-Irons are pointless and comes with a "label"
White Belt
-Would you wear it in public?
-Do you have the game to back it up?
-White Belts + Wide Bellies = not right
-It's fine if it makes you feel good....I have one, somewhere
Forged vs Cast
-If you know you can feel the difference then you don't need to ask
-If you think you can feel the difference experiment or get fitted
-If you thought you could tell the difference stick with your cast (Pings are Sweet)
-If you don't the difference use the search
Club Ho vs don't fix what ain't broke
-If you can afford it or find great deals then HO it up
-if you have kids and a home and a wife...prioritize
-if you clubs work and you have no desire to buy golf equipment...you are lucky because it's not easy wanting the next thing every time, but i love it anyways. (MP68, *drool*)
Traditional vs Modern design
-Support what you like and what you grew up with
-Technology is a big part of golf, explore it. You never know.
-Anser style putters were new at one point, square shapes will be a lot more appealing than future shapes (like C-drivers)
Back-up bag
-Always a plus when money permits
-Golfer friends who visit would appreciate
-Multiple conditions require multiple tools
-Not a good idea if you barely use your current (vanity) bag
Stand, Cart or Staff Bag
-Stand is a MUST even if you usually ride because walking the course is the best.
-Cart bags are great, the storage is never wrong but great only if you ALWAYS RIDE
-Staff = For staff players or big fans of certain brands. But remember, it's like having a Ferrari......hat
Matching Brands in bag
-if it works for you than that's fine but don't let it prevent you from trying a perfect club
-Support you favorite brands to see them in the future but don't bash on the others. It's like bashing on someone's home...that's messed up.
Fixed heads vs adjustability
-adjustable if you like to tinker and experiment
-if you know what you need, you can find it in a fix form
-get fitted
New clubs for new shafts
-Get fitted
-then PRACTICE!!!
Golfball
-One Piece = one point; practice
-Two Piece = dual purpose; distance and durability
-Three Piece = triple action; spin, feel and slice-ability (for those who do it on purpose)
-Four Piece = Quadruple machine; extra feel, more spin more workability...but that extra layer cost $
-Five peice = Ridiculous
Sunday Attire
-Wear clothes that fit! Clothes too tight make it harder for other people to breathe as well.
-Match your shoes and your belt
-Red on Sunday if perfectly fine...until the fist pumps and Nike gear rolls out.
-if you feel a little feminine, then you mostly likely look a little feminine as well.
-Knickers are like persimmon woods, only the people who grew up with them can bring them out...and even they still don't
The Hammer Driver
-Final conclusion, it's not the driver's technology that stops people from buying it...it's Jack. POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
One Plane, Two Plane and Arc vs SBST putting
-different folks for different folks. done.
