This is a MUST play for anyone who is visiting the Jersey Shore. A perfect example that a great golf course doesn't need to be over 7000 yards.
Enjoy the pics...

I've played there a bunch of times. I love the bells on the teeboxes! I haven't played there in a few years, but I do remember my last shot on #18, I stuck it to 4 feet and drained the birdie! Won bunches of loot with one swing. I just wish they would air condition the locker room.
Nice photos!

I played ACCC this summer, what a great back 9. Doak's group did an outstanding job there and it is worthy of the praise it has gotten.
The clubhouse is a pretty cool experience too, great lunch after golf.

Looks really nice. Most of the great courses that I've played are less than 7000 yds. Doesn't have to be long to be great.

Unfortunately too many people put too much emphasis on length. I know many people who would dismiss ACCC just because it's under 7000 from the tips.

Your photos brought back some bitter/sweet memories.
Back in the '70's,'80's & '90's. My Dad ran a golf club for the Phialdelphia Bulletin newspaper. It was a collection of guys (approx 40) and friends. They played courses in PA. & NJ. There were singles match play in three flights. I joined them in 1975.
Even after the Bulletin closed in 1981, the club went on. We would cap off the season with a 3 day weekend golf get-a-way and many times it would be at ACCC. Great weekends!
I remember the view on the back 9 of AC and it just gave you a sense of "what a great place to be..".
My Dad passed away in 1995 and the club folded. No one wanted to pick up the responsibility. I, personally, gave up golf that year since I didn't have my best 'buddy' anymore.
I just got back inot the game this year and although my Dad isn't here, I can sometimes here him telling me to "keep my head down", when I hit a poor shot. The memories of our golf weekends and especially ACCC will always be some of the most memorable in my life.
Nice photos... thanks.

Buddyjay,
My pleasure. I certainly didn't think that posting pics would have conjured up memories like that. I'm glad you enjoyed them.
