If someone posts a few rounds while significantly inebriated and shoots scores that are significantly higher than they would normally and this has the impact of raising their handicap, what is the best way to proceed? We have a couple of guys who [may] do this right before our annual trip....

Force them to drink one beer every hole on the trip :-)

Posting a few high rounds before a trip isn't going to significantly alter their handicap.

Interesting but no advice. I played buzzed probably 20 years of my 30 golf years but it didn't impact my 5 handicap (sober or blitz my game was the same). I guess that just proves the high level of functioning a drunk can operate at.

I'm just the opposite. I tend to post lower scores after a few beers.

Nothing quite like a little "SWING OIL" to ease your tension and free yourself up. However, it would take more than a few drunken rounds to elevate your handicap to the point of sandbagging.

I know that feeling. I played one of my greatest rounds ever flat hung over.

ugh golf used to be my favorite hungover activity, made me feel much better. Something changed though, now can't play worth a lick, and I just ruin my swing and confidence.
