Hello all, my friend just won a week's stay and 4 rounds at Pinehurst. Pretty sweet deal! He and I were wondering what time of year would be ideal to cash in on it. He has one year from today to use it... any locals or other members on here who could make a suggestion? I did a cursory search on the forum and didn't really pull up a whole lot. Thanks in advance for some ideas!

I went in Mid May once and the weather was perfect. I would think spring or fall would be your best bet.

The best times to visit would be spring and fall, specifically mid September to November, and April and May. It's pretty nice here all year, but those are the peak times if you're coming here on a golf trip.

There's NEVER a bad time to play in Pinehurst!!!!
however as others have said, anytime from now to November or mid April to early June is probably considered peak.

I am a member and resident of Pinehurst. The peak times are spring and fall. personally fall is my favorite. The courses are in the best condition and the weather is great. Now until Nov 10 or so is probably a good bet.
Enjoy. Let me know when you make the trip. I can give you the insiders info.

I was there in August and the heat was BRUTAL (95ish). In April, it was perfect. The upside of playing in the heat was I literally had the course to myself.
