I have a ping latitude and my clubs get all jumbled since there are only two full length dividers. I don't want to take dramatic measures and get a new bag so i thought about club tubes. Are these good? Will stop the clubs from being stuck together? Please share
Johnny
if you have any graphite shafts dont do it.. the tubes will wear the paint on the shafts and you will not be happy.

What if I only used them on my irons?
bjackson
Do you use headcovers for your irons?

I still wouldn't do it personally... it's so 80's ..besides the grips will pull them partially up all the time.

Ahh. What should I do about the clubs then. I hate them sticking together.

start saving your $$$ for a better lightweight carry bag.. seriously worth it.

Take Johnny's advice. Get a bag with 14 full length dividers.

I just bought this. I guess ill have to wait until next season.

Have to agree with the other posters, tubes are a pain and there is a reason you never see them around anymore. I am in a little better situation with three dividers for my irons and separate dividers for woods and a putter well and I will still be investing in a 14 way divider in the future. You would think golf bags would be perfected by now but it seems there is still such a long way to go... I honestly think Ill spend more time purchasing my next bag than my next driver.

I use tubes in my bag. They work fine. Just gotta pull the club straight up. What I do is I have a bag with 6 sections. So I have 2 tubes in the back 2 sections where I store 3 club each , then I have 1 tube in each of the middle sections where I store 2 clubs each. Then in the front sections I have 2 tubes for 3 clubs on the right. Then my putter alone on the left.

This way I store the clubs I dont use as often in the tubes so the clubs I use the most come out the quickest.

Im thinking about adding some glue to the bottom of the tubes then putting them in so they dont move at all.

I dont think you will get any bag wear on the shafts from the tubes because the club goes all the way to the bottom and the edge touches the hosel. You could probably even line the tube edge with some fabric or something if you really wanted to.

I have the same bag, but I don't have any trouble with my clubs getting "jumbled". FYI, bag tubes are very "hackish". They are maybe worse than golf sandals, iron covers and towels hanging out of the back pocket.

I use tubes all the time. I have a Callaway Staff bag and have oversized grips on my clubs. They are graphite also and have no wear & tear on the shafts. I never liked the irons bunching up together and getting jammed in the bag.
In the '70's & '80's I used the tubes and had rings that connected the tubes together so that when you pull a club out, the other tubes don't follow. I still have the rings and use them now.

I always felt that the graphite finish MIGHT get damaged when they rub up against each other in the bag so the tubes would help. As another poster said, the hosel keeps them from touching the tubes. I do agree however that the 14 way divider bags are the best way to go. My carry bag has the dividers and they work great. Other bags don't have 14 way dividers so the tubes do that for you.
If you are in the market for another bag, get the 14 way. If not, get the tubes.

Back in the days when I used tubes I would connect pairs and trios of them together at the tops and bottoms with a few wraps of black electrical tape. It keep them from sliding up.

Agree with others that, after a while, you may find them more trouble than their worth.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I might try to connect a few tubes together or just leave it be. Having them stuck together won't kill me.
