Just bought tickets for the BMW and bought a practice round ticket. I've never been to one. In fact I've only been to one PGA tourney before (The Western before it was the BMW FedEx playoff). Just wondering if anyone had any tips for watching players on a practice day. Do certain days get more action than others? Do they post practice times of players before hand? I have an any day ticket and trying to decide which day. Is it kind of a crap shoot and tough to pick times to catch certain players? Just looking to get the most out of the day. Tips appreciated especially if you've been to Cog and know the good viewing spots. Thanks!

Played Dubsdread on Sunday, and scouted spectating areas in case we decide to take them up on the ticket specials they keep e-mailing me.

We all agreed that the best spot for multiple-hole viewing was on the hillside surrounding #14 green. From there, you have a birdseye view of the green, plus you can see #13 fairway and maybe some of 13 green. Right behind you will be the tees for 12, 15, and 17. That's one of the few spots where you can see more than one hole, or two adjacent fairways.

I was at Liberty national this past tuesday. The crowds where very light so baisically anywhere I went I had a front row position. It was great i love the practice rounds. There is a different air to the players demeanor. You could get right up close on the tee boxes to hear the interesting conversations between pro/caddie and other players as they try to chose the right club/shot.The putting green was adjacent to the range so I spent some time watching that also which was enjoyabale.I walked almost the whole course.Paying most attention to what I will see on TV the last 5 holes..

Stop walking when you get here...

That's 13 fairway in the background, and I think if you're further to the right, you can see that green, too.
