I'm currently using a Titleist X86 stand bag that only has 6 sections. The bag itself is ok, but it can be a hassle to use and I have issues putting my clubs away sometimes. I'm looking for something a bit more user-friendly that has more dividers, and also want something a bit more sturdy. Although lightweight, the Titleist feels too cheap and flimsy. This is also partly due to my tendancies to have specific clubs in specific slots at all times, no matter if I'm riding in a cart or the bag is sitting in my room. Call it OCD, but I like to be organized cool.gif

I've heard a lot of good things about Ogio and Sun Mountain, any specific models I should check out? Any other brands I'm missing?

Try the Sun Mountain Four 5.

Thanks for that recommendation. It seems a lot of people really like that bag. The only downside I see is the problems getting it to fit on a riding cart but it has every thing else I'm looking for.

To my knowledge there are only three bags in retail that have the 14-way top:

Sun Mountain Four 5
Sun Mountain MPB
Nike Sasquatch Tour

I'm looking for a 14-way bag myself. As well as the ones listed, I've found:

Bag Boy Clip-Lok
Orlimar VT830
Striker Xp
17 Green Vertex

Now if I could only get this list down to 1 cool.gif

So far it looks like I might go with the Sun Mountain Four 5. Turning it sideways to fit on a cart could be a bit annoying, but it will force me to get some exercise and walk more often. The Bag Boy looks nice but I can see the Clip-Lok system rubbing and scratching my shafts. No thanks.

Does anyone have experience with the 17 Green Vertex bag? It looks pretty nice, the price is awesome, and it does have 14 individual pockets for your clubs.

Look into the Bennington Quiet Organizer lineup. They have individual slots for each iron so they don't chatter.

I just picked up a Mizuno Speedster cart bag and it is awesome. Plus, its incredibly light--6.0 pounds--like a stand bag, so you could carry it when you really want to walk but it will fit on the cart nicely when you ride, which is most of the time. Has a nicely padded and structured 14-way top. Plenty of pockets. Check ebay.

So far the Sun Mountain looks like the best option. I'm going to check it out this weekend along with the Ogio Grom and some other stand bags. I'm never going to hear the end of this from my golf buddies, this will be my third bag in 3 months!

Sun Mountain is great - you don't have to turn the bag completely sideways to get it to fit into a cart. About 45* or so and it will fit fine and you can still get into any pocket you need. I definitely recommend this bag!

If you're looking for a bag that you can both carry & easily use on a cart, you should look at the Sun Mountain MPB.

MPB stands for Multi Purpose Bag and it is intended as hybrid bag for cart & carry both.

I have the Nike Sasquatch and love it.

I've heard this bag still has problems fitting in golf carts. Can you confirm? Also, I don't like the external putter tube, is this removable? It seems unnecessary to have when the bag already has 14 slots for your clubs.

I have the 2008 MPB and I've not seen problems with it fitting in golf carts. What is it that you've heard?

The external putter tube is not removable. Myself, I like it.

I have the Bagboy Clip Loc bag. It's not a carry bag, I use it either on my pushcart, or on a riding cart. It's big enough to stand on it's own without legs, it's big enough but not Bagzilla size.

I shopped alot looking for "the perfect bag". For me, this one fits the bill.

14 full length divided slots, each slot has a clublock top prevent rattling, relatively lightweight (5 pounds lighter than it's Revolver cousin), a really functional rain hood, lots of very functional well placed pockets, umbrella holder, a grabber handle for lifting in and out of trunks, a sleeve for the cart strap to go through, I could go on. I'll just say it works better than I anticipated.

You can get this bag for around $100. Well worth it. I've had mine for a year and a half and it still looks a nd functions great!

I was reading some review on TGW, who knows how accurate they are. Anyways, I think the non-removable putter tube is a deal breaker. It won't serve a purpose for, and the bag weighs 2 pounds more than the Four 5, which looks to be my best option. I appreciate the suggestion though.
