Well I have a lightweight stand bag for those easy days (Ping Vantage). But I'm looking for one with more capacity for those day when you hang out with your buddies on the weekend golf trip and need the extra capacity for crazy weather, cigars and some "aiming fluid". It has to work on a push cart (SunMountain V1) and a power cart too. But I'm not too fond of the individual divider tops.

I was considering getting a small Cart bag that would fit the bill (Ogio Syncro) but I think I'd like to have the stand for range trips and easier storage. It would work for everything else.

I was considering the Mizzy Twister III and they are cheap right now. The Titleist Premium is nice but price is kinda high. Is there an Ogio that would work?

Any feedback I can get is great and thanks. hi.gif

Simular needs....I'm thinking about the new Ping Pioneer LC bag.

sun mountain 3.5s usually hold a lot of stuff. the right side clothing pocket seems quite spacious.

I've had one. Nice bag but I could use some more space. Besides my Ping Vantage is about the same size.

Does anyone have any feelings on the Ogio Grom?

Grom is great for a push/power cart. Tons of space too. What about the Titleist x86?

Thanks... but not a stand bag.

I'm looking at the Taylor Made Diablo bag. Looks like a ton of space, good weight, and not a 14 club divider. My only concern is the durability.

Sorry, I thought you were still open to a cart bag.

What I've bought is a Sun Mountain MPB bag. The MPB is both a stand and cart bag, with a boat load of storage options.

Here is the Sun Mountain webpage --> Sun Mountain MPB

One of our sponsors (NJGolfman) has a few of the 2008 leftovers available for about $130 shipped, if you are interested.

I guess I kind am still open. But I'd rather have the stand if possible. I think I'm going to try the Diablo.

Thanks for the offer. But I think I'll pass on it. It's a nice bag but I really like the design of the Diablo. Just need to find a deal.

Bobcat43,

+1 for the Sun Mountain MPB! I have used a SM 3.5 for a long time. I bought the MPB, and I both carry and ride with it. It has lots of room for extra stuff, and from your description, it will meet your needs. I also picked up a 2008 model, but at a Golfsmith in C-bus for $99. I am not sure if they still have them or not. It is a marvelous bag, and worth it for you to get.

Just scored a Taylor Made Diablo Bag for $76 on the 'bay. So for that price why not give it a go.

I figure I'll give it a go. The thing I liked about it was the full sized pocket on the "carry" side of the bag. The part that hits you in the butt when you carry it. Again if I'm going to carry a bag for 18 it won't be this one I have a Ping Vantage that works great. But for long weekend golf trips where I need to take extra clothes and various other items and beverages and cart accessability. But I still have the stand for convenience sake. Again it doesn't have the 14 club divider which I have never been a fan of anyway. I tried it on a SunMountain V1 in the store it fit fine too.

If it works great if not see ya'll in the BST. Thanks to everyone who responded.

Well the TM Diablo arrived today (again I stole it for $76 shipped). I must say it is a very sharp looking bag, I got the Blue with Red and White trim. I reviewed my original post and this bag looks like it fits just about everything I was looking for in a large carry bag.

Very large capacity but it doesn't appear to be over stuffed. No 14 way divider and I like that. Fairly lite at sub 6lbs, unloaded. It should fit a cart fine and fits my V1 perfectly. A nice insulated cooler pocket too that looks to be a good size to fit a couple 12 ouncers or a bigger sports drink. Th ball pocket is huge/ And again there are two large clothing pockets with one that extends under the butt pad, if you need it for those cold weather days when you don't know what to wear. You can fit more in this bag then a TMX and honestly I would put this up against quite a few cart bags for smart capacity (not the big ones).

All and all a sharp well thought out bag that I'm glad I wandered into the other day. Now only time will tell how it works out and holds up.
