The course I play most often is quite mountainous and tight, and carts are mandatory. If I am not on the green or very close by, I am usually toting three wedges and my putter as I will have anything from a very severe uphill to downhill lie.

Really tired of handling these clubs (setting down in wet grass - possibly forgetting one - etc.) and wondering what clever solutions may be out there that I might have missed.

I know of the Golfer's Buddy, which is so far the most attractive solution I have found, but was hoping one of you have found something more elegant. I am thinking the ideal solution would be a golf bag that had some kind of detachable "sub bag" to tote the clubs greenside but I have not found anything like this.

All solutions welcome!

There was one of those on the market about 4-6 years ago, can't remember the vendor...wasn't one of the big bag companies- doubt they are still in business.

A towel is the easy route, but I believe I know where you're going with this.... a bag that has part of it that separates (say the bottom row or side) that holds four clubs, but looks seamless when "put together". I've got a few crappy stand bags lying around. Maybe I'll give it a whirl on one of them then get someone to donate a full cart bag to try it on if I can prove the concept. It's not really a million dollar idea due to the limited market and inability to patent the broad concept (2 piece bag, but the attachment system could be), but it would be fun to make. I love chopping stuff up.

Towel

Stick my divot tool in the ground and put the club on that so the grip doesn't get wet

Hit the green in reg so you don't need a wedge....... busted2.gif

Actually there are a couple of patents very close to this (if not exactly - I only read abstracts). Surprised you feel this market is so limited with so many courses going carts mandatory (that stupid clothespin that won Fore Inventors Only would seem to indicate otherwise), but I don't really know.

I only know that I would pay quite a premium for such a bag.
