Full Version: Anyone ever used a Junior Bag as a Sunday Carry?

I play mainly in outings, and use my staff bag for lots of room for extra jackets, etc. However, every now and again I like to walk or a client wants to walk. I was considering a ping MoonLite II bag, but then thought about a junior bag.

Has anyone ever used a junior bag like the Sunmountain SwiftX Junior for this? It's under 3 pounds and bigger than the sunday bags...and better looking than the strap x sunday bag...

...any suggestions from anybody? I don't need much storage, just 6 balls, some tees, and a glove. Looking for lightweight with a dual strap.

Thanks for any suggestions...

It would be shorter in length than normal, not sure if that's a problem for you.

The sunmountain junior is 34", which seems about like normal. Plus, aren't the Sunday bags a little shorter?

I bought the black SM Jr. Swift X for my son (10 yrs), and it it a really good bag (very light, looks good, and durable). It is so much better than my PING sunday bag which has no legs (very annoying).

Have you thought about the regular SM Swift or the Titleist Ultra Lightweight? They are all the same bag with the Titliest having the better strap in my opinion. Anyways, to answer your original question I use my Titleist Ultra Lightweight for most of my rounds and love it. It will hold more than what you mentioned with ease and the fact the clubs sit tighter together reduces the amount of bag chatter.

Just get the regular Swift X. It's 3 lbs, perfect amount of storage space, etc.

IMO, it's as perfect as a golf bag can get (unless than can make a 14 way just as light)
