Is anyone kinda like "huh" that the marquee group this morning online is Adam Scott, AK and Ryo ISHIKAWA?? Isn't Phil a more interesting watch?
CPHoya
It was voted on on PGA.com by the fans. This is unfortunate, because this group sucks (particularly Adam Scott, for whatever reason).

I agree - this group is a terrible pick. I know the fans voted, but who was voting? I can't wait until the TNT simulcast kicks in and we get to watch some relevant golf. By the way - did anyone pick up the "F U" bomb that slipped through? I think it was AK.

wow, what a crappy group. doesn't look like I'm gonna watch any golf after all

Decisions made by these broadcasts boggle the mind sometimes. They would absolutely KILL to have Phil in a final group on Sunday, then they get a chance to have hime for certain and they make a stupid decision like this? They could make an "executive" decision and switch. Isn't the whole point to keep people watching?

AK has dropped a couple different bombs this morning. When his "not-a-cut" tee shot found the deep rough he said "stop, stop, f***."

Adam Scott is such a mess right now I can't even watch him. I'm not sure I've ever seen a pro deteriorate quite like this. It's not just a two-way miss; each SWING looks different.

I am trying to figure out how Adam Scott has made over 700 grand this year on tour. I keep hearing Mike Breed talking about all the problems in his golf swing, but doesn't Adam have Butch as coach? My honest assessment of Adam is he looks uninterested in golf. Yeah, I realize he is 11 over in this tourney but he was just as bad last week too.

I'm only 19 so I like watching the younger group. Its crazy how good those guys are at such a young age.

Ak has always had somewhat of a temper.. plus he is 2 over so I'm sure he is not happy. However Adam although he is playing terrible he is keeping his cool.

Is adam still using a stack and tilt swing? I heard the commentators saying something about how he is not getting his weight to his back side, and I sat there and was like.. hmm, isn't that the purpose of the S&T? haha. If he switched back, than please correct me.

Actually ... I just find this curious. Whether hard core golf fans like it or not, the larger general public (at least the segment that would go online and vote - which is likely to be a younger demographic than the norm) apparently just doen't find Phil that interesting.

Personally, I would love to see all the vote counts ... are the totals online anywhere? (I can't find them on the site).

Phil is interesting, but for some reason I never really like watching him for a full round of golf. I don't know why.. There are just some players I can only take so many holes of. There are very few I can watching the ENTIRE round, I mean not get up from the couch. Tiger is the only one that comes to mind, and even than it is normally on a sunday or when he is playing well.

I like it more when they just go switch back and forth from group to group.

Me too. I didn't vote ... but certainly wouldn't have voted for Phil's group. There's several (other than Phil, and the one they picked) that I'd much rather watch ... vijay/Elkington/DLIII, Poulter/Els/Stricker, or Glover/Cink/Cabrerra (which is who I probably would have voted for).

I am kind of half-watching this marquee group and it's sounds like these commentators are busy rationalizing the poor play of the group. Apparently these guys especially Adam Scott (poor guy has to sleep on a hotel bed!) are doing nothing wrong, they are just victims of circumstance. Am I hearing things?

Why they wouldn't show this years major winners baffles me. cabrera/glover/cink are at -4/-1/-1 respectively through 6 holes. thanks pga.com for sucking

Yes ... that sure is the group I'd like to see.

I just started watching and I've already seen three guys hit trees and now Scott flew the green with a wedge. It's interesting in a roadside accident kind of way but I feel sorry for the announcers.
asloper6001
Yea, they should rotate through different marquee groups. They should have a couple, besides heart broken Adam Scott.

Jim Hubert just joined the netcast and is totally cutting on these guys. Absolutely just made this worthwhile.

Breed "This group looks really good on paper...(goes on to say some positive stuff on these guys)
Hubert "Until you put them on grass"

I almost spit out my soda through my nose.

I'm not sure if Scott was ever a S&T guy, but I believe he works with Butch Harmon, who is advocating a more centered swing these days instead of a fully loaded right side move.
