So, I am taking some customers that are residents of NYC to play Bethpage Black in a couple of weeks and I have some questions. I searched for a bit, but couldn't find the answer to this exact question. I was wondering if I played mid-week with them and got to the course around 6 pm the evening and let's say I was first in line....when they do tee times, will they let me choose a tee time that is open that morning? Let's say I don't want to be the first group off, but would rather play at around 9:00 when my customers can get there, would they let other people have the tee times in front of me or am I locked in for the 6 am tee time?
Also, we wanted to do 36 and wanted to play the Red course afterwards, can I schedule a tee time for the Red?
Thanks guys!

When you pay they put a wristband on you so all players will have to be there at that time. You can chose any time that is available when you pay. I am not sure whether you can sign up for two tee times at the same time.
Enjoy the Black.

After walking the Black, do you really think you will be up to another 18?

Can we ride the Red?

Also, these guys are big time runners, so I sure they could handle walking without bags on the Black and then going for the Red too.

When they give out the bakery tickets in the morning all golfers must be present in the car. You can't get one ticket and go in line and book a foursome for later unless all your golfers are there at the window.

Oops....that could be the glitch. I don't know that I could get them there at 6 am to play....I've offered to take them to:
Pinehurst #2
Whistling Straits
TPC Sawgrass
Harbour Town
Kiawah Island Ocean Course
All with no go.

Actually, since it's summer, they probably give the tickets out a lot earlier than 6 am. Best bet is to call and find out approximately what time they'll be handing them out.

Hope you are not playing Bethpage Black this week or the next. They just aerated the fairway on Black this week and next Monday they are doing the greens of the Black.

If you are talking about that type of cash, you could give the NY Golf Shuttle a call to get on Bethpage without sleeping in your car. I've never used them, so I do not vouch for them. Actually, the article in GD a month or two ago didn't paint a very flattering picture.

That is the other option we will choose if they really want to play the Black.
Also, polyester is sold in pounds...and if you tack 6 zeros onto the end of that 12 in purchase orders, I would be happy to take you to any course in the world you want to go to. In fact, I will be taking my largest customer to Augusta National in December.

So I can get onto AN with you if I purchase 12 million pounds of polyester? What's your profit margin on that? Maybe we can work something out, if you catch my drift....

Same thing, just different sized holes, and one's a little noisier.
