the best thing I can tell you is that the Titleist stand bags are manufactured by Sun Mountain.

Sun Mountain make good stand bags.

check out the ping website. The new hoofer is the C1 and it looks pretty awesome.

if you walk alot, titleist is WAY more comfortable... i have tried on nearly every ping bag, and none of them are as comfortable to carry as my titleist

Agreed on the titleist being more comfortable than the hoofer.I have both (had the titleist firstthen went mostly ping clubs so switched to the hoofer). The hoofer is a great bag but the titleist wins in all important areas for me: better strap system, larger insulated pocket, ease of club removal. Both have plenty of pocket room (titleist has more though) and both are sturdy in the 'stand' position. Titleist feels a little heavier but not enough to matter to me personally. Both are great bags, IMO they are the 2 best on the market so if these are you're choices you won't be disappointed with either. Also, I've seen the new hoofer in person, was not crazy about it at all.

I have a Titleist stand bag, 2008 model. Fantastic carry bag, nothing out there is better for me when walking.

However if you ever ride in a cart, be prepared to turn it sideways....the bottom flange which activates the leg stand will not allow it to fit in a cart the normal way. This is a big problem for me, your mileage may vary.

If you dont mind me asking, where did you see the new Hoofer and what exactly don't you like about it?

No doubt. I had Ping carry bags in high school, and since then I have had a Titleist stand bag. It is so much more comfortable and convenient!

I have a 2009 Titleist Lightweight and wouldn't change a thing about it - strap, colours, features, pockets, dividers etc - I am beyond satisfied and it has held up well so far for about 40 rounds or so - still looks new.

www.pinggolf.com look under bags, it's the Hoofer C1. I'm an old school ping hoofer guy, I like the standard 'hoof' pingman on the ball pocket and the classic look hoofer bags have had. The new C1 is a little to "techno" for me and I'm just not a fan. It's a more contemporary looking bag and IMO leaves the long line of hoofer history behind, which I think is a shame.

I have the Titleist Lightweight and absolutely love it. The only con I've found is that it has to sit side ways when you take a cart, other then that it's pretty much perfect. Here's my baby:

Titleist X86, best stand bag for walking I've ever owned. It does have to go on some carts at an angle though, but hey, it's a walkers bag.

love my ping hoofer. Straps become more comfortable with time, and stand mechanism works better than my 2007 model titleist stand

I used to have a black and white Ping Hoofer Vantage bag. I really liked how it looked. The pockets were functional and there was a nice insulated one for a water bottle. However, the retractable strap got on my nerves and it never seemed to fit my shoulder correctly. Now I'm using a red and white Titleist x86. I love it. It's just as functional as the Hoofer was, but the straps are better and fit my shoulders correctly. It's the best bag I've ever owned.
