It would be great if they switched the ratio of coverage vs. commercials...its like 3 minutes of coverage and six of commercials!

A tee shirt negates the advantage of the latest polo shirts with regard to perspiration. (i.e. NIKE Dry Fit type of shirts).
That being said, to each his own, if you want to wear one, have at it.

Didn't look at it to close but it could just be a fit dry type of t-shirt instead of cotton. And simply he may be more comfortable that way, like bugs said "to each their own".

V-Neck! The new shirts are all moisture wicking but I can't stand the feeling of most materials rubbing on my skin especially when they're all sweaty in the Florida heat. Hanes Comfort fit V-necks is how I usually go and if I'm playing in the heat of the day I'll wear a UA Heat Gear undershirt.

I wear a t shirt under ever shirt I wear, even if it happens to be another t shirt. Don't know why just feels weird if I don't.

Same here, just makes it "feel" better.

I typically wear an undershirt under everything. I have what some might call a "very hairy chest" and if I don't I get shrubbery poking out of the front of my collar.
But, when I golf, if I wear an undershirt, I think it negates wearing some sort of moisture wicking polos like my Nike's, so I go without. Definitely much nicer without.

I wear a white T-undershirt, as I prefer to keep my TW Nike Dri-FIT polos pristine for as long as possible.
It's a good exchange to keep a $70+ polo pristine at the expense of a $0.50 T-undershirt.

I wear Stafford cotton undershirts with almost everything, from t-shirts to button ups, and I love them. They are incredibly soft and prevent unsightly perspiration. On the hottest days, I will wear an Under Armour compression t-shirt, but it isn't as comfortable as the cotton.

Just bandaids over nipples... no undershirt.

I wear one under just about every shirt I wear - except other t-shirts. I've tried the 'compression' type undershirts and they just aren't that comfortable on a fat guy.
BTW, my wife didn't see this but she would be very happy. Every time I have golf on she complains about them not wearing t-shirts. I think that it all stems back to when phil won the masters (he wasn't in as good of shape as of late).....she was scared by this jump and his chest 'bouncing' through the shirt - hope that makes sense, was trying to be polite about it. And think about it, if it looks bad on a somewhat inshape guy, it can't be a good luck for a slightly older, out of shape guy like myself. JMO.

If you need something to wear UNDER your SHIRT you could try an undershirt. Honestly, t-shirt under a polo makes you look like you're still in high school.
Edit: Although, reading through the post, I grant an exception for those with wild undergrowth or man-maries.

I have always worn an undershirt under everything I wear, especially when I play golf. I have mainly American Eagle polos and they show sweat pretty badly; I sweat alot, and it really helps.

While I am an older guy and have never worn anything under my golf polos, lately I have found that on a number of my expensive golf shirts the cut is not as generous as year's past fashions. The result is extremely painful abraision under my arms which takes several days and cortisone creme to heal. Am I the only person who has this problem?

I am a Michigan boy, wearing t-shirts under others shirts is common. Maybe it's a farm thing seeing as I spent much of my earlier life on a farm where everybody did it, most male family members still do. Letzig is from KS, not far removed from the Midwest.

I don't wear cotton t-shirts under my golf shirts but I have been wearing Nike and Under Armour sleeveless compression shirts under my golf shirts and I really like it. On hot days my shirt doesn't stick to me and I like the feel of the compression shirt.

They should have been more worried about his hair than the t-shirt. Couldn't get past the hair and visor combination. Pair him up with Charlie Hoffman I say....

Very true. As a man blessed with a considerable jewfro myself, visors are simply a bad idea if you ate too many crusts as a child.

I understand.. The term "Midwest" is a misnomer, most of the region lies in the eastern half of the United States; which also could imply the US is divided into East and West, although we know that isn't true. But, using your line of thinking you'd be right since it sets about midway between east and west.

I wonder if that question will come up on Jay Leno's street walks...
