Has anyone camped out for a weekend round during the last few weeks? I'm curious as to what time people are lining up and what time I should get there if I have 2-4 players playing.

I haven't played it recently, but my personal opinion is to get there as early as you can. Bring some sandwiches (good pizza place around the corner), a cooler of beer, a portable DVD player, playing cards and chill. Regardless of how early you get there most likely you won't be alone!

Heck, if you and your other guys can go up the day before, get there in the morning, 2 of you can tee it up on one of the other courses while 2 of you stay with the car in the AM and then when the 2 are done playing, they can stay with the car and the other 2 can play.

Why put yourself through that torture? just show up for twilight pay $32 and you can get 18 holes in. Played twilight two weekends ago, we were the first group out, and my buddy and i were walk ups.

Is that $32 for the Black course? A buddy of mine were planning on making a trip down there...$32 rounds would be nice.

I am also interested to know what time we would have to show up for an earlier tee time on the weekend?

Anything involving playing a US Open golf course is far from torture. I've slept out to play the Black twice and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

I am playing it on friday for the club championship and they say that a single walkup during the week had no problem, the weekends is always a bet to get there the following night...............good luck

if i remember from playing there last week, i think the sign said it opens at 5, so be there by then
