GRAND BLANC, Mich. — John Daly says he hopes an upcoming reality show featuring him will provide a glimpse of his new-and-improved boring life.
The popular player said Wednesday he is focusing on his golf career, which has been marked by the highs of winning the British Open and PGA Championship and lows created by problems outside the ropes.
Daly's attempt to turn around his life and game is being filmed by the Golf Channel, which plans to launch a reality show early next year.
The day before competing in the first round of the Buick Open, a crew planned to follow him as he recorded a song he wrote at Kid Rock's studio and performed mundane tasks such as ironing the colorful pants he would sport at Warwick Hills.

No, I'll be watching the Octo-Mom reality show that airs same time/different channel.
Or Real Housewives of South Dakota,

Um, didn't TGC actually DO a reality show on the life of John Daly about 3 or 4 years back? I thought it actually got decent enough ratings that they ended up doing another one with Natalie Gulbis, which was just dreadfully boring!

I HATE reality shows.
To each, his own.
Hey, I'm glad Daly is turning things around. A lot of people on here are Daly fans, and others were very critical of his behaviour and basically said, "wake up and smell the coffee John."
As far as watching him on TV- no thanks. I've got my own reality to deal with, I don't need anyone else's. I look to TV to escape reality for awhile, not get more of it.

I like John... and think he's a good guy; but this does not interest me.
I would prefer to see then bring back Fore Inventors Only if they're looking to fill space cheaply.

I will be watching the daly show. I could go for another gulbis show, or same idea but with creamer or pressel. I dont really like the other stuff they show on that channel.

I wish he had one 10 or more years ago. I don't know if there are any Howard Stern fans out there, but the interview he gave was amazing. Did you know his own father put a loaded gun to his head, while he was wasted, and threatened to kill him? Tons of crazy stories.

I'll dial it up if it's on around midnight -- with the sleep timer on.
Golf Channel reality show + TV with a sleep timer = Better Than Sominex.

LOL, apparently the lyrics for that song go like this:
"I'm just a lost soul...........I'm just a lost soul...........I'm just a lost soul...........
I'm just a lost soul...........I'm just a lost soul...........I'm just a lost soul...........
I'm just a lost soul...........I'm just a lost soul...........I'm just a lost soul..........."
I think i'll be sure to avoid this one

Yeah, I caught that last night on Golf Central.
He needs to change song writers. I guess he's a lost soul. Or, maybe he was referring to his golf shoes? Maybe he's a lost sole.

Did Daly really card a "10" on Hole 1 of the second round today?
http://sports.yahoo.com/golf/pga/players/J...orecard/2009/32Wow..
Totally different player than the Daly that has been overseas the past couple of months.
Is it just a matter of putting?

WOW- he shot a 16 over par 88 today and is dead last.
That will definitely make for a more interesting reality show.
He's hot or cold.

+2. Same sad story which in time will have the same sad ending as the last dozen or so times JD was going to turn his life around.......
I think I'd rather watch the off channel color bars and listen to the humming sound.

After golfing this poorly on an easy course I wish he would just find a hole to crawl into and never step on a golf course again. He shouldn't be allowed to be within a 100 miles of the Golf Channel.
