I understand business decisions; but you can kiss honest editiorials good bye if the site starts selling equipment...ironic considering the recent popularity of a putter blog.

Sorry, but it takes a lot of money to run things properly, and some of the moderators started demanding free clubs in exchange for their time. The easiest way to make this happen was to sell out to a couple of the OEMs in exchange for positive opinions. Not much will change in terms of content, but you'll definitely see some bag changes in the WITB threads. I'll be posting mine shortly, along with invitations to the black tie event.

I never would have seen the home page if you didn't say anything. I have the forum page bookmarked, so I rarely, if ever see the home page. I couldn't care less about TM having their name everywhere. I don't think you need to worry until you see them charging $5000 for a lifetime ClubWRX membership.

I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill. If you don't like the advertising,
then join ClubWRX and help pay the bills.
It isn't cheap to run a board this big with this many members, and have all the features (like the new video site, the picture posting, and PM boxes), and on top of that it is FREE to be a normal member. I don't think I have ever seen Gxgolfer or easyyy go crazy about TM products, or any other for that matter.

For almost the past two years we have been developing the platform for the most comprehensive golf review site on the Internet. This is only the first phase of a very soft launch. Not even 1.0. The site is not selling any equipment so, I'm not sure where you see that. There will be Sponsors that you can buy products from after reading reviews(similar to the forums) but, just like other review sites, the users will be generating the majority of the content, not the site.
We will be adding many more features and I think users will be extremely surprised over the next few weeks and months as the GolfWRX world expands. There have been hints on some of those features over the past few months so, if you are an avid follower, you maybe clued in.
The Front page is under heavy development and will be worked on through the weekend and through week. We have made the changes now to a live environment so that we can start finishing the core functionality and then seeing what we need to do graphically and based on user opinion on appearance.

Read the Cameron Classic Mini thread if you think that they are even close to stopping honest opinions. I think the moderation is beyond fair when it comes to allowing topics that bash equipment and write honest reviews. Seriously, look one post up from each of your last few. I was OBVIOUSLY joking. I thought the "mods demanding compensation" part was particularly transparent. But then I state as much. And all the explanation you could hope for was in Gx's post right above yours. Shoot, the URL on the front page should have been clue enough that it wasn't a store front (hint: you're looking for the word "review"). And mountains do have their own beginnings, but moles aren't one of them.

Same here, I forgot what the old page looks like as I've got the main forum index bookmarked in my toolbar. Some people never like seeing any new changes while others don't mind seeing new changes. Changes can be good to keep anything up to date.
Also I find it funny that majority of people here and elsewhere do not read rest of the thread before posting their replies to 1st post they read. Just read the rest of the thread before posting your replies, I do.

There is also some links on the front page that will take you here. As functionality returns, these things will become more transparent.

We will never allow the $ to get in the way of honest opinions and a freedom to voice is. We need to trust a source. Our membership will decide what is good or bad. The review site is a great step for us. Our reviews were organized in a community engine and hard to navigate. If I wanted to see...
- Drivers rated highest to lowest by users
- drivers most viewed in the last 60 days
- drivers most viewed in the last year
- drivers priced between $295 and 425
- Drivers by Titleist, Ping or you favorite brand only
Here is a place to do that. The new review site is a better tool for us.

Not exactly the best analogy since, if we disappear so does this site.
The review idea is just fine, if that is the way they want to go, but it doesn't make for much of a home page. Menu and current topics are best for the home page. Let people choose where they want to go, don't force them into a certain area.

Demanding free clubs. What's next food stamps?? Are these guys that strapped for cash?? Free clubs never bodes well for a neutral review----just human nature.

Seriously the best review in my opinion is a peer to peer review. There is so much bias, slant and spin out there. I have a hard time staying neutral. I have my favorite putter company, driver company and iron company. I struggle from drinking to much cool aid at times.
We look to provide a platform that allows all players to participate. Big or small, cool or not. We want the cream to raise to the top. Supporting small companies as we do large as equals allows both the buzzz to reach the membership.
If players go out and hit the new Scratch or Mizuno irons and find them off the hook we want all to hear. We want them to hear today. Not tomorrow or the end of the month. We need it NOW.
I look to see how people liked the Pioneer Kuro Plasma TV. Where do I go? I will look at CNet but I will focus on peer to peer more than the editor. JMOGO

A-thank you.
At least I learned a couple things today. First and foremost is that there's power in words and I ought to be more careful in how I use them. More precisely, I need to use them on some of the more gullible members here for my gain.
Secondly, and even more foremostly...I can say whatever I want in subsequent posts with total impunity as only a select few bother to read past the headlines before racing to hit the reply button and add their own two cents. I could probably admit to dancing around the house to Barney songs in full drag with a Bin Laden lookalike and people will still be chastising me for being on the take. So I think I'm going to call today a win.
