My hands sweat a lot while I play. And, in the Georgia humidity, the gloves (I wear two -- one on each hand) get saturated in just 5-6 holes. Its so bad, the clubs will slip out of my hands (even though I have multicompound grips). So, I've taken to changing gloves every 6 holes. Any other ideas/suggestions for coping/handling this sweaty situation?

What kind of gloves are you using? I know there's new "bionic gloves" which like conform to your hand and may not be as sweaty (something like

But to be honest, you'll probably have to switch gloves no matter what you wear. Do you think you could play sans-gloves?

I do the exact same thing...I only wear a glove on my left hand and it lasts for about 8 or 9 holes, then I have to switch it up...
I'm not sure, but a dusting of baby powder on the hands before the round might work...I know it keeps sweat under control in other areas....just a thought....

I only use one glove, but I have 3 or 4 of them in rotation at any one time. I secure them to the straps of my bag between uses so that they can dry out. from all the damned rain we have gotten here in the northeast, or from sweat. That way if one gets sweaty i can just switch it out. they usually dry in a few holes.
Just keep switching them up, but dont put them in a pocket. leave them out so they can dry.

Use rain gloves, maybe?

BTW... If the problem is that serious (to the extent that it affects you professionally and/or socially), see a dermatologist. He might have an alternative for you. Botox injections are sometimes used for excessive perspiration, although I am not certain if they can be used in the hands. Hope this helps.

take them off and allow to dry. also, try looking into gorillagrip, the stuff is very tacky and comes off very easy, hardly any residue. you can put it on your grip, glove and hand. it doesn;t keep your hands dry, but it will definately help with the grip. you may also be able to get rid of that 2nd glove.

+1...I keep my gloves velcro-ed around the handle of my bag...they dry very quickly...

Rain gloves.
Try the Zero Restriction glove, it's like an oilskin treated material, like the good old rain gear
Never need to change glove again.
I also wear tennis sweatbands, you'd be surprised how much
difference they make with humid sweaty weather (South Florida)

+2... I take my glove off after every shot then dry my hands / arms with a towel, don't put it on again until next shot.

I have the same sweating issue as well. I bought a rosin type bag at golfsmith that works pretty well and I rotate my gloves every couple of holes. I also keep a sweat towel. I only use a left hand glove so my right give me more of an issue. I will try the sweatband and see how that works. My dad has something he keeps in a small can similar to a dip can that works great even in pouring rain. I think its sometype of "pine tar" and he can't remember what its called as the label is worn off.

You need to make sure your grip is correct. The few people that I see use two gloves do not have a very good grip. I corrected my grip about two years ago and amazingly the club stop slipping and my swing got better go figure.

I played hockey for many years and used spray on anti-perspirant. It did help with my hands sweating in the gloves.

Thanks for all the great comments, ideas and suggestions. I started wearing two gloves when I first started playing, when I was about 10, because of a bad grip that caused a blister on my right hand. I'm 56 now. I have recently changed my grip and the two gloves is just habit; it is very comfortable for me. I just got on line and ordered a Zero Restriction rain glove for the right hand and, if its a cure, I'll get one for the left. Plus, I won't go out to play tomorrow without my baby powder and at least two sets of gloves hanging from my bag for easy switching and drying. If the baby powder fails, I'll get out the spray-on Right Guard (sport scent, of course). Any other ideas?

If you take your glove off between shots and if you are riding a cart, velcro you glove to the cart roof support. You'd be amazed how much extra perspiration evaporates form the glove just from that little bit of extra airflow.
