I have played there a few times. If your playing from the tips(about 7400) you better have your long irons and woods up for it. very long course only one par 4 under 400 yards 9 and 18 are almost 500 yard par 4s. i havent played it since it went public ive heard they cut down alot of the higher grass(had a links feel to it) and slowed the greens down alittle. which i personally liked as it gave it alot more need for accuracy off the tee.
its a tougher course and personally one of my favorites in the area.
and for the price now you cant go wrong playing it.
Yea I;m not sure which tees I'll play from, probably back cause if I dont play from the back tees i feel like i'm kind of cheating myself, but 18 would only be 30 dollars cause I'd get to play at the junior rates, I think, i'm pretty sure it's under 18 is considered a junior there.
I played there not too long ago, and it's just like was said earlier, slow greens and they took the fescue down. I played it a few years ago when it was private and that course was amazing, they just ran out of cash and had to go public. The other problem with it being public is that there are a lot of people who play there who have no idea what they're getting into with that course, because it's def a players course, so the round could be slow. Personally, I love it and wish it was ~10 miles closer to Pittsburgh, but then again, so does all of the 'Burgh.
