Me, the wife and our kids (6 an 9) play a municipal par 3 for fun on the weekends. The hardest thing with 2 kids is the pace of play. Any tips for speeding up play with kids?
A few things we do already...
- Best ball up to the green
- Double bogey is max
- The two kids can tee off side by side
Any other suggestions?
I have to admit, it gets really tough to keep pace, especially if there is a twosome behind rather than a foursome.

Why don't you let any group behind you play through?

We definitely let groups play through.

After looking at your already implemented improvements, the only thing I can suggest is to pay attention of the logistics. Make sure the kids go directly to their ball and hit it quickly. Keep the practice swings to a minimum. At your kids ages, I doubt they consider club and shot selection, but it's something to watch for.
Another thing you might consider is a time limit in addition to the stroke limit. If one of you kids gets distracted and doesn't hit his ball in a timely manner, he forfeits that swing and has to pick up his ball and play his next shot from the green.

2 team scramble?
That's a good idea!
