I own a few pair of pants and love the fitment, comfort and breathability.
I'm looking to purchase some shorts and would like to know if you find the 9" inseam on the short side.

I would prefer something that slightly covers my knees but not above and a lose opening.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I think thats all personal. I dont like 9". I prefer 10 or 11. But I have Adidas in both 10" and 11"

I actually like the length. I find the longer lengths to be too bulky on the course. I like them long in casual wear, but a little more snug on the course. Just my opinion though.

I have several pairs of both the pants and the shorts. To my eye there is no difference between the two other than length.

So try a pair on and if they're too long have them hemmed, and if too short, buy the pants and have them shortened. I don't think there is that much difference in price (maybe 10 bucks or so).

they're 10" inseam and i did some searching online and found 17% off discount to go along with "free" shipping.

Beat me to it. I was in the same boat as the OP, and these fit the bill perfectly. The standard ClimaCools are too short, and the 3-stripes are exactly the length I wanted.

Incidentally, the black and light gray are a little more versatile than the others, as they have white stitching and stripes. The others have colors that don't go with just ANY color shirt.

I tried on the three stripes and while it did fit nice I found it a bit short and I didn't like the striping at all.
I guess this means the Climacools would be even shorter.

Thanks for the help guys!

Absolutely the best golf shorts ever made IMO. I have 6 pair of them! The inseam doesn't bother me at all....of course I'm only 5'8" tall! biggrin.gif

I missed the "loose opening" part of your first post. No loose opening in the 3-stripes... But too short? Man, how tall are you? They're plenty long for me (just cover the knee, and I'm 6'-0"). Interesting. But, yeah, the stripes are a bit over-the-top.

I'm not into the "cargo" short look for golf, but you probably want Adidas' Clima Cool cargos (or whatever they call them). They have at least one low pocket on them, but the pocket(s?) are flush/internal, so they're not true cargo shorts. They're long like you're looking for, and they have a looser leg. Have you seem them yet?

I'm not that tall...prob 5'-9" with golf shoes. I currently own a pair of JL Lawrence shorts and Puma Bermudas. Out of the two I like the Puma's for both on and off golf course activities. I was hoping the Adidas shorts would be more like the Puma's (slightly baggy) as I have wide hips and thick thighs but I get a feeling that they'd fit more like the JL's which is fine but a bit snug.

Thanks again guys!

I wouldn't call them slightly baggy, but they aren't skin tight either. I wear mine everywhere (not just golf).
