I live in a "transitional" part of the country for grasses. We have some courses that have bent grass fairways, some that have bermuda, some zoyzia, and some bluegrass and rye. I just played in an event at a course that had bluegrass and rye fairways and unlike the others they do not provide sand for divots. Many of the divots break apart and there is nothing to replace. I was wondering if not sanding is a usga recommendation or just an oversight. Anyone have any insight?
